May 4, 2006 Slingshots Recalled by Daisy Manufacturing Due to Risk of Serious Eye Injury

The two metal frame slingshots being recalled are the Daisy Models ERG-100 and ERG-300, marketed under the name "The Natural." The model number is written on the packaging. These slingshots have an offset fork design, a sling made of bright green tubing with a black leather ammunition pouch and small balls inside the tubing where it connects to the frame. Both models have black plastic handles. The smaller ERG-100 model has the words "Powerline Daisy Mfg. Rogers, AR" on the handle while the same words are found on the adjustable wrist brace of the larger ERG-300 model. This voluntary recall does not apply to Daisy's Powerline Slingshots models F16, B52 and P51, which have yellow tubing. Read more.


May 4, 2006 Regal Lager Inc. Recall to Repair Phil & Teds Twin Strollers

The recalled Phil & Teds e3 twin buggy has a metal frame and side by side cloth seats. The strollers were sold in a variety of colors including red, orange, black, charcoal grey and navy. "e3 twin" is embroidered on the front of each seat and the Phil & Teds logo is printed on the crotch piece of each harness. Read more.



April 27, 2006 Children's Necklaces Recalled for Lead Poisoning Hazard

The recalled choker-style necklaces are silver-colored hearts, crosses and clovers that hang from a blue, maroon or black velvety cord. The jewelry's packaging is white cardboard with "In Style" printed on the front, and UPC number 041838140766 on the back. Read more.


April 25, 2006 Sycamore Kids Inc. Expands Recall Again of Mountain Buggy Jogging Strollers

The recalled strollers have a metal frame and a cloth seat with a sun canopy. The strollers were sold in a variety of colors including: midnight blue, navy, red, black, silver and orange. A metal plate above the footrest shows the Mountain Buggy logo with "Mountain Buggy," and "Urban," or "Breeze" written underneath on the metal plate. The recalled Mountain Buggy Urban Single strollers have item number U1204-002, and serial numbers between 000000 and 015276. The recalled Mountain Buggy Urban Double strollers have item number U2204-002, and serial numbers between 000000 and 009221. The recalled Mountain Buggy Breeze strollers have item number B1204-001, and serial numbers between 000000 and 000191. The serial number and model number are on the back of the metal plate. April 13, 2006 Trendset Originals Recalls Girls' Sweaters with Drawstrings Due to Strangulation Hazard

The recalled girls' hooded sweaters are pink, blue and white and have a label that reads "Who's That Girl!" The R/N number is 48829 printed on the inside neck tag of the garment. Read more.


April 6, 2006 Serious Injuries Prompt Recall of Mini-Trampolines - New Instructions to Be Provided To Consumers

The round, black mini-trampoline measures 36 inches across and has six 7 ½-inch long metal legs. The mini-trampoline is used for in-place jogging and other cardiovascular exercises. Most mini-trampolines that have model numbers containing 35-1625 are included in the recall. Model 35-1625C and 35-1625CW units are not included in the recall. The model number along with the customer service and serial numbers are stamped on a black and white label on one of the legs containing the name "Stamina." Read more.


March 31, 2006 Child's Death Prompts Replacement Program of Magnetic Building Sets

All Magnetix magnetic building sets including the X-treme Combo, Micro, and Extreme sets. The sets contain 20 to 200 plastic building pieces and 20 to 100 1/2-inch diameter steel balls. The building pieces are red, yellow, blue and green, and are shaped in 1 1/2-inch squares, 1-inch triangles and cylinder rods. Some plastic building pieces have "Magnetix" imprinted on them. March 30, 2006 Toy Cars Recalled for Choking Hazard

The recalled toys are soft, stuffed yellow taxis, black and white police cars and red fire engines, each with four plastic wheels. They measure about 6 inches in length and 5 inches in width. The toys have a silver-colored button on top that makes sounds when pushed. The police car and the fire engine make a siren sound. The taxi makes engine and horn sounds. "Kids Preferred" is printed on an attached fabric tag. Read more.


March 30, 2006 Children's Jewelry Sold at American Girl Stores Recalled for Lead Poisoning Hazard

The recall includes American Girl necklaces, bracelets, earrings and hair accessories for girls. The recall does not include jewelry for American Girl dolls. The jewelry's packaging features a red and white cardboard backing with "American Girl" and "Made in China" written on the front. Read more.
