June 29, 2010 Radio Systems Corporation Recalls Power Adapters Sold with PetSafe® Heated Wellness Sleepers Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves the Class 2 Transformers that were sold with PetSafe Heated Wellness Sleepers. The power adapters are identified by the markings "PLUG IN CLASS 2 TRANSFORMER," "MODEL NO: K12-800" and have a spring coil covering the length of the electrical wire that goes from the sleeper. Power adapters without spring coils are not affected by this recall. Read more.


March 31, 2010 Howard Berger Recalls Extension Cords and Power Strips Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves Brightway heavy duty outdoor extension cords and Brightway indoor household extension cords and power strips. Model numbers involved in the recall are R2600 through R2615 (outdoor extension cords), EE6 through EE20 (indoor extension cords) and MP6DG (power strips). “Brightway” is printed on the cords. November 10, 2009 Power Adapters Used with IBM RDX Back Up Disk Hard Drives Recalled Due to Shock Hazard

This recall involves power adapters sold with IBM RDX removable back up hard disk drives. The data storage devices were sold with a power adapter that fits various country specific plugs. “Hon-Kwang Electric (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd” is printed on the adapters. October 27, 2009 Belkin International Inc. Recalls SurgeMaster Surge Protectors Due to Shock Hazard

This recall involves the SurgeMaster™ Surge Protector, models F9G930-10, F9G930v10, F9G930-10-W and F9G930-10-SN, all manufactured in 2003. The model number and date of manufacture are located on the underside of the unit. Grey models F9G930-10-GRY and F9G930fc10G-CL are not a part of this recall. Read more.


September 17, 2008 Hanashop Recalls Counterfeit Power Cords Due to Fire and Shock Hazard; Sold Exclusively on eBay

The recall involves 2-Ft., three outlet power cords. The power cord is orange in color and packaged in a counterfeit yellow and green cardboard sleeve. The packaging indicates the power cord is a “12 Gauge Extra Heavy Duty” type. Model number T-4145 is printed in front and back of the packaging, which is indicated in the picture below. Read more.


April 16, 2008 HSN Recalls Power Strips for Charge-It-All Valets Due to Fire and Shock Hazards

This recall involves the power strips sold with the medium and large Joy Mangano Charge-It-All Valets. The valet is a box with divided compartments that comes with a power strip that allows the user to recharge and organize items such as cell phones, mp3 players, PDAs and cameras in a single location. The medium valet comes with a 3-receptacle power strip and the large valet comes with a 6-receptacle power strip. The letters J and M are printed in cursive under the valet. Read more.

March 8, 2007 Dollar Stop Plus Recalls Extension Cords for Fire, Shock, Electrocution Hazards

The recalled product is a 15-foot white extension cord with green wrap-around green label with bold red and white lettering. The label reads "15 Ft HOUSEHOLD EXTENSION CORD." The "UL" symbol appears on the label. The cord has a silver UL holographic trademark tag, with "07/99, BV-7582, 13A 125V, 1875 W" printed on it. The cord is marked: SPT-2, 16AWGX2C, VW-1, 60o C.
