June 12, 2007 Globe Fire Sprinkler Corp. Recalls Dry Fire Sprinklers: Model J Heads Can Fail to Operate During a Fire

Model J Series dry fire sprinklers come in pendent, upright, and sidewall configurations. The name "Globe," the letter "J" and the year of manufacture (1990 though 1999) are embossed on the frame of each sprinkler. These dry sprinklers were designed to be installed in areas of buildings where the sprinklers or water supply pipes may be subject to freezing, such as unheated attics, freezers and coolers, parking garages, porches and warehouses. March 22, 2007 Digital Security Controls Recalls Smoke Detectors that Could Fail to Warn of a Fire

The recall involves Digital Security Controls FSA and FSB series photo-electric smoke detectors. They are wired directly into the building circuitry, and do not use a battery. The dome shaped units have a metal mesh covering around the smoke sensor. Read more.


January 31, 2007 Gamewell-FCI Recalls to Upgrade Software Used with Fire Alarm System Control Boards

The software upgrade involves Gamewell-FCI model ILI-MB-E3 and ILI-S-E3 loop control boards. These boards are components of the Gamewell-FCI E3 Series fire alarm system. They provide the signaling line circuits and display information for the system. Read more.
