March 7, 2024 Yamaha Corporation of America Recalls Power Adaptors Due to Electrical Shock and Electrocution Hazards

This recall involves Yamaha's PA-10 AC Power Adaptors with date codes ranging from 2126 to 2319. Yamaha is printed on the front of the black power adapter. The date code is printed on the back. Yamaha's PA-10 AC Power Adapter was bundled with five Yamaha analog mixing console models - MG10, MG10X CV, MG10XU, MG10XUF, and MG12XUK - and sold as a stand-alone replacement part. Only Yamaha's PA-10 AC Power Adapter is being recalled. Read more.


January 14, 2016 IKEA Recalls Toy Drums and Drumstick Sets Due to Choking Hazard

The recall includes LATTJO Tongue Drum and LATTJO Drumstick set. The LATTJO Tongue Drum is a solid birch rectangular-shaped drum with a turquoise-dot print on the front and two solid red circles on top. The drum measures about 8 inches long by 2-3/4 inches wide by 2-3/4 inches deep. The drum comes with a seven-inch mallet with a turquoise painted handle and black rubber ball on the end. IKEA and LATTJO are printed on a label on the bottom of the drum. The LATTJO Drumstick set includes two solid birch drumsticks, two brushes and two mallet-type drumsticks with black rubber balls on the ends. The set was sold in a turquoise polyester roll-up pouch with a red and white striped fabric panel in the center. The pouch measures about 15 inches long by 10 inches wide. IKEA and LATTJO was printed on a label attached to the pouch. Read more.


June 26, 2014 Roland Recalls Digital Pianos Due to Electrical Shock Hazard (Recall Alert)

This recall involves Roland model RD-800 Electronic Digital Pianos. The recalled product is an electronic piano keyboard that is 55 inches wide, 14.5 inches deep and 5.5 inches high. It is black and has 88 black and white keys. The front of the piano has a control panel with a color liquid crystal display (LCD) in the center. Pianos within the following serial number ranges are being recalled: Z6D0015 to Z6D0019 Z7D0174 to Z7D0423 Z8D1 056 to Z8D1255 Z9D2131 to Z9D2333 The model number is on the front left of the piano. "Roland" and the model number are in large type on the back of the piano. The serial number and model number are on a data plate on the right side of the rear of the piano between the XLR output connectors and the AC IN connector. Read more.


March 26, 2013 West Music Recalls Egg-Shaker Toy Instruments Due to Choking and Aspiration Hazards

These recalled egg-shaker toy instruments are plastic, egg-shaped instruments sold in five colors: yellow, green, blue, red and purple. The toy instruments are about the size of small eggs and have a "Basic Beat" label printed on the front of the product. The product is marked for children ages 3 years and older but West Music is concerned with the possibility of the egg being used by or near a younger child. The toy instruments have Lot Number 0E0212 located on the bottom of the roundest part of the egg.

March 21, 2013 tc electronic Recalls Bass Guitar Amplifier Due to Electrical Shock Hazard

This recall involves tc electronic 250 W bass guitar amplifiers with model BH250 and serial numbers 1204763 through 12404375. The amplifiers are about 8.6 inches wide, 2.5 inches high and 9 inches deep and have a red front panel. The model and "tc electronic" are printed on the front of the amplifier. The serial number is located on a white sticker on the back of the amplifier.

June 2, 2011 Musical Shaker Instrument Recalled by Woodstock Percussion Due to Laceration and Choking Hazard

The shakers are plastic musical instruments, 5.5 inches long, with rounded, egg-shaped tops containing steel pellets and open circular handles. They come in blue and green and are sold separately. The marking “B4” is printed on the rounded top of each shaker. Read more.


June 2, 2010 VOX Amplification Recalls Amplifier Carrying Cases Due to Risk of Injury

This recall involves the nylon carrying case sold with Night Train guitar amplifiers. The black carrying case has metal clasps and a nylon arm strap. “VOX” is printed on the front pocket of the carrying case. The carrying cases were sold with amplifiers with model number NT15H. The recall involves the SWR® Natural Blonde™ 120V acoustic bass amplifier, model 44-60600-000. The amplifier measures about 26 inches x 16 inches x15 inches, and has a blonde-textured vinyl covering with a black control plate and black stamped steel vibration-free grill.
