February 18, 2016 ENVE Recalls Bicycle Forks Due to Fall Hazard (Recall Alert)

This recall involves ENVE Carbon Fiber Road Fork 2.0 Disc 1.25" taper models. The bicycle forks included in this recall have serial numbers beginning with: VCT1406, VCT1410, VCT1411, VCT1501, VCT1502, VCT1503, VCT1505, VCT1506, VCT1507, VCT1508, VCT1509 and VCT1510. January 21, 2016 Chillafish Recalls Children's Balance Bikes Due to Laceration Hazard (Recall Alert)

This recall includes all Chillafish BMXie, Chillafish Jack and Chillafish Josie balance bikes. The bikes were designed for children ages 2 to 5 and have no pedals and no chains. BMXie bikes are made of plastic. The bikes are about 31.5 inches long with a seat that can be adjusted from about 12.5 inches high to about 15.5 inches high and have a detachable foot support. BMXie bikes were sold in the colors blue, lime green, pink, red and yellow. Item reference number CPMX01BLU, CPMX01LIM, CPMX01PIN, CPMX01RED or CPMX01YEL is on a label on the bottom of the bike frame. Jack and Josie bikes have steel frames. The bikes are about 34 inches long with a seat that can be adjusted from about 14 inches high to about 17 inches high. Jack bikes were sold in a black and orange color scheme with flames on the crosstube and item reference number CPJJ02BLA on a label on the bottom of the bike frame. January 13, 2016 QBP Recalls Stolen Series BMX Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves Stolen series BMX bicycles, including Stolen Agent 16CB and 16FW, Stolen Compact, Stolen Casino and Stolen Stereo models. "Stolen" and the model name are printed on the frame of the bicycles. The Agent 16-inch bikes were sold in dark blue, the Compact 20-inch bikes were sold in neon orange and satin white, the Casino 20-inch bikes were sold in phosphate raw (gray), highlight yellow and electric red, and the Stereo 20-inch bikes were sold in satin black and electric green. December 30, 2015 Origin8 Recalls Folding Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves three models, the F1, F3 and F7. The F1 model is a single-speed folding bike which came in matte black and can be identified by the "F1" on the top tube. The F3 model is a three-speed folding bike which came in white and can be identified by "F3" on the top tube. The F7 model is a seven-speed folding bike which came in battleship gray and can be identified by "F7" on the top tube. The serial number is located on the bottom tube, near the bike pedals. December 2, 2015 Felt Bicycles Recalls Mountain Bikes with OEM Carbon Fiber Seatposts Due to Risk of Injury, Fall Hazards

This recall involves all model year 2015 Felt Double Double 30, NINEe 20 and Edict 1 mountain bicycles. The bicycles were sold with carbon fiber seat posts. The model name is printed on the top tube of the bicycles. The Felt logo is on the down tube of the Double Double 30 and the NINEe20, and on the top tube of the Edict 1. The Double Double 30 was sold in the color blue. The NINEe 20 was sold in a gray and orange color scheme. The Edict 1 was sold in a black and blue color scheme. Read more.

November 17, 2015 Kona Recalls Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves all 2014 Kona Wo bicycles with a charcoal black frame and silver decals. The word "Wo" is on the top tube of the frame and the word "Kona" is on the down tube of the frame and on the side of the seat. Read more.

October 29, 2015 QBP Recalls WeThePeople BMX Bicycles and Cranksets Due to Fall Hazard

The recall involves WeThePeople Envy BMX bicycles and aftermarket ECLAT Aeon BMX cranksets. The Envy BMX bicycles have a 20.6 or 21 inch chromoly frame, painted dark gold. The bicycle bottom bracket has an "ENVY20.6" or "ENVY21" stamp. The ECLAT Aeon BMX cranksets are the gears at the front of the bicycle chain with pedals attached to the outer ends. The cranksets have a steel, two-piece construction. Printed on the left side of the spindle is ESS Eclat 22mm" and next to the pedal, on the crank arm is "Aeon." Printed on the inside of the crank arm is "Eclat Germany" followed by the crank arm length "170mm" or "175mm." Read more.

October 28, 2015 Burley Design Recalls Child Bicycle Trailers Due to Injury Risk

This recall involves seven models of Burley Design child bicycle trailers manufactured from 2009 to 2015. The trailers allow cyclists to tow children behind their bicycles while riding. The trailers are connected to the bicycle by a tow bar, which attaches to the rear axle of the bicycle on one end and to a tow bar receiver on the trailer at the other end. The tow bar receiver is on the front left side of the trailer as it faces the rear wheel of the bicycle. Recalled trailers have a black plastic tow bar receiver with an integrated wheel guard. Recalled trailers can be identified by the first four characters of the serial numbers on the trailer. The serial number is on a sticker in the rear cargo area behind the seat of the trailer on the left inside frame bar. The following seven trailer models and serial numbers are being recalled: Model Serial Numbers Cub K943 Rental Cub K943 D'Lite and D'Lite ST D948 and K948 Encore K942 Solo and Solo ST D939, K939 and KK939 Trailers with aluminum tow bar receivers are not included in the recall. This recall involves bicycles equipped with front disc brakes and a black or silver quick-release (QR) lever on the front wheel hub. Bicycles that do not have disc brakes are not included in this recall. When the front QR is fully opened, if there is less than 6 mm -- or the width of a #2 pencil -- between the QR and disk brake rotor on the wheel, the bicycle is included in this recall.
