June 19, 2014 Reebok-CCM Recalls Throat Collars Due to Laceration Hazard

The recalled Reebok TCPRE Senior (SR) and Junior (JR) Goalie Throat Collars are black with white trim and the word "Reebok" is embroidered at the base of the collar. They have the BNQ certification mark screen printed and the words "Ballistic Nylon Ballistique", "TCPRE SR or JR" and sizing information on the right side of the collar base. Affected products have the model number K101SR TCPRE or K101JR TCPRE located on the label sewn on the inside of each throat collar pad and on the outside of a polybag in which the product may have been sold at retail stores. April 3, 2014 Snowboard Bindings Recalled by K2 Sports Due to Fall Hazard (Recall Alert)

This recall involves Kwicker and Kwicker BC snowboard bindings. Kwicker bindings are black and silver with a green release lever knob and have item number B1304028010 printed on the binding's box. Kwicker BC bindings are silver with a green release lever knob and green lock loop and have item number B1304027010 printed on the binding's box. KWICKER is printed in white on the side of the Kwicker bindings and on the top of the Kwicker BC bindings. Read more.


November 26, 2013 Avalanche Airbags Recalled by Backcountry Access Due to Risk of Injury

This recall involves BCA Avalanche airbags, models Float 18, 22, 30, 32, 36 and Throttle. The airbags are used for skiing, snowmobiling and mountain climbing to help keep the user above the surface if an avalanche occurs. The airbags are yellow and are housed in a blue, red or black pack. The packs have the model name printed on them. "Float" and the "bca" logo are printed in black lettering on the airbag. Lot letters A through E are included in the recall. May 28, 2013 GNU Snowboard Bindings Recalled by Mervin Manufacturing Due to Fall Hazard

The recalled snowboard bindings include men's, youth, and women's sizes. The bindings attach to the snowboard with screws, and to the snowboard boot with straps with buckles. The brand name "GNU" is imprinted on the front of the straps or on the baseplate. The SKU number can be found on the model sticker located on the original packaging. August 30, 2012 Inflatable Recreational Tubes Recalled by Tractor Supply Due to Chemical Burn and Irritation Hazard

The recalled tubes are made of gray rubber and measure 47 inches in diameter. Model number "1026192" can be found on the box along with UPC code 4939403118 and the words "Traveller Recreational Tube". Product number "11.00R22" can be found molded into the tube itself. Read more.


March 20, 2012 Bon Hiver Recalls Freebase Snowboard Bindings Due To Fall Hazard

The recalled products are Bon Hiver Freebase snowboard bindings in the following models: 11 Series - Assault or Infrared, 13 Series - Arsenal or Hellfire and 18 Series - Stealth or Storm. The bindings are sold in pairs. Each binding is made up of two pieces: a boot base and a base plate. The boot base, which attaches to the snowboarder's boot, has a high back, ankle strap, toe strap and footplate. It is made of plastic and aluminum, has six magnets on the underside of the footplate and is made in the following colors: black, blue, red and white. The Bon Hiver logo appears on the back of the boot base near the top and across the ankle strap. The words "Bon Hiver Snowboarding" appear on the heel. The series number is located next to the logo on the back of the boot base and on the side of one of the footplates. The base plate is flat and made of black plastic. This recall involves the Salomon “Quest Touring Pads” distributed as sole pads only, and Salomon “Quest Pro Pebax” and “Quest Pro” ski boots configured with the recalled sole pads. The sole pads have visible steel inserts intended to make these Quest touring-style sole pads compatible with a specific type of touring-style ski binding, commonly referred to by back-country skiers as a “low-tech binding.” Read more.
