May 11, 2006 Adventure Playsets Recalls Swing Sets - Detaching Frames Pose Fall Hazard

The recalled swing set models include: The Durango, Tacoma, Odyssey, Bellvue, Monarch, Grand Teton and Outlook II. May 4, 2006 Trek Recalls Anthem C Elite Bicycle Helmets for Failing Impact Standards

The recalled helmets are identified by the model name Anthem C Elite and Anthem C Elite WSD. A label inside the helmet identifies the helmet as "Trek Anthem C." The helmets are available in men's sizes in black/charcoal, blue/silver and blue/red, and in women's sizes in aqua blue/silver and white/silver. This recall includes all sizes of this helmet. April 26, 2006 Hoist Exercise Benches Recalled for Finger Entrapment Hazard

The recalled exercise benches are free-standing and typically used for free weight workouts. They have white, gray, or black steel bases, with a black vinyl bench seat and backrest. The Hoist "5 Position Fold-Up Bench," "Folding Flat Bench," and "Folding Ab-Crunch Bench" are included in this recall. Although the bench names and model numbers do not appear on the benches, the serial number is located on a white sticker behind the seat of the bench. April 25, 2006 Arctic Cat Recalls Snowmobiles Posing Fire and Burn Hazard

The recalled fuel tanks were installed on all 2004, 2005 and 2006 Firecat and Sabercat models. The recall also includes all 2003 Firecat carbureted models. The affected models were manufactured in a variety of colors and engine sizes, however, all are included in this recall. Read more.


April 18, 2006 CCH Inc. Recalls Mountain Climbing Camming Anchor Due to Fall Hazard

These camming anchors or "Alien Cams" are devices used as both a precautionary measure to stop a climber in the event of falls, or it is used to actually support the climber. Climbers insert the device into cracks or crevasses in rock and it grips the sides of the crack. The recalled units are marked with a small center punch dimple at the base of the round ball where the axle goes through the cable eye. They have production dates, from November 2004 (written as 1104) through December 2005 (written as 1205), which can be found on the bottom of the handle puller. Read more.


April 11, 2006 Polaris Industries Inc. Recalls Snowmobiles for Steering Hazard

The recall includes Polaris Model Year 2006 700IQ Classic, 700 IQ Touring, Select Model Year 2005 900 Fusion, 900 RMK, 900 Switchback, Select Model Year 2006 700 IQ Fusion, RMK, and Select Model Year 2006 900 Fusion, RMK Switchback Snowmobiles with Accessory Electric Start Kits. April 6, 2006 Serious Injuries Prompt Recall of Mini-Trampolines - New Instructions to Be Provided To Consumers

The round, black mini-trampoline measures 36 inches across and has six 7 ½-inch long metal legs. The mini-trampoline is used for in-place jogging and other cardiovascular exercises. Most mini-trampolines that have model numbers containing 35-1625 are included in the recall. Model 35-1625C and 35-1625CW units are not included in the recall. The model number along with the customer service and serial numbers are stamped on a black and white label on one of the legs containing the name "Stamina." Read more.


April 5, 2006 LandRoller Inc. Recalls to Repair Roller Skates

LandRoller skates have two oversized wheels on each skate that are angled inward, which is designed to help the user keep balanced on cracked pavement and uneven surfaces. The recalled LandRoller brand skates are the "Terra 9" model manufactured between July 2005 and December 2005. The date of manufacture can be determined from the serial number, which is written on a white sticker attached to the upper inside of the right boot's plastic ankle cuff. Serial numbers beginning with "L050" are included in the recall. The brand name is on the skate's tongue and model is on the skate's rear heel area. Women's skates are purple and gray and sold in sizes 6 through 11. Men's skates are blue and black and sold in sizes 5 through 12. Read more.


April 3, 2006 Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. Recalls Snowmobiles for Projectile Hazard

The recall involves all models and packages of the Model Years 2005 and 2006 Mach Z and all models and packages of the Model Year 2006 MX Z Renegade 1000 Ski-Doo® Snowmobiles. The Mach Z model was available in black and the MXZ model was available in black or yellow. Model name is located on the side panels. Read more.


March 30, 2006 Nautilus Inc. Recall to Repair Bowflex Ultimate 2 Home Gyms

This recall involves the Bowflex Ultimate 2 home gym, which is an exercise machine equipped with pulleys, tension rods and other equipment to permit the user to select from among a variety of exercise routines. The name "Bowflex" and the model name "Bowflex Ultimate 2" are on the front of the lat tower and the sides of the main upright frame structure. Read more.
