October 14, 2005 Polaris Industries Inc. Recall of Snowmobiles

The recall involves all model year 2005 900 Fusion, 900 RMK, 900 Switchback snowmobiles, and select model year 2006 600HO Fusion / RMK / Switchback, 900 Fusion / RMK / Switchback, FS Classic / Touring, and FST Classic / Touring / Switchback snowmobiles. October 11, 2005 Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. Recall of All-Terrain Vehicles

The recalled vehicles are model year 2006 Outlander 800 H.O. XT Bombardier ATVs. The model numbers affected are 2J6A and 2J6E. The model numbers are located in the serial number on the identification sticker under the seat. The ATVs have the words, "Bombardier" and "Rotax 800" on the fenders. Read more.

September 22, 2005 Arctic Cat Inc. Recall of Off-Highway Utility Vehicles

The Prowler XT was produced in three colors: Green, Cat Green, and Red. The vehicles have the words Arctic Cat on each side of the cargo box, 650 H1 on each side of the front hood, and the name Prowler XT centered on the front of the hood. The recalled units fall within the vehicle identification range (VIN) of 4UF06MPV06T300001 through 4UF06MPV86T300781. Consumers only need to look at the final six digits of the VIN to determine if their vehicle is included in this recall. Read more.

September 15, 2005 Ortovox USA Recall of Avalanche Transceivers

Both models of avalanche transceivers are plastic and measure 5.5-inches by 2.5-inches by 1-inch. The M1 has a navy blue body and a yellow volume control switch. The M2 avalanche transceiver comes in two colors: glacier white (grey) with a red volume control switch, and orange with a grey volume control switch. The model name and "ORTOVOX" are written on the front of the transceivers. Read more.

September 8, 2005 E-Z-GO Recall to Repair Golf Cars

The recall involves certain model year 2002 through 2005 E-Z-GO Fleet and E-Z-GO Freedom gasoline-powered golf cars and Shuttle 2+2 personnel carriers. The model names for the recalled products are TXT, Freedom and Shuttle 2+2. The model names are printed on the sides of the Freedom and Shuttle 2+2 vehicles, and the E-Z-GO logo is on the front of all three vehicles. The recalled vehicles have 9-horsepower engines and serial numbers ranging from 1451059 through 2341739. The serial numbers of early production vehicles are found on plates located on the passenger side dash housing. The serial numbers of late production vehicles are found on plates located on the body below the driver's seat and on the chassis between the seat back supports. Read more.

September 2, 2005 Aqua Scout Recall of Aqua Scout Water Scooters

The Aqua Scout Water Scooter is a hand-held, battery-powered product used to propel swimmers through the water. The product has a yellow or red plastic enclosure, a black plastic handle and propeller. There is no model numbers or brand name written on the scooter. Read more.

September 2, 2005 Atico International USA, Inc. Recall of Children’s Arm Band Pool Floats Sold at CVS Stores

The recalled plastic inflatable arm band pool floats are bright orange on the outside and white on the inside with an inflation valve on each side. They are imprinted with a “Surf Club” logo, “CVS/pharmacy,” and “Caution: This is not a lifesaving device. Do not leave child unattended while in use.” When inflated, the arm bands measure about 8-inches long by 6-inches wide. Read more.

August 31, 2005 Target Recall of Back Trails Jr. Bicycle Helmets

The recall includes Target's "Back Trails Jr." brand toddler, youth and child bicycle helmets sold in various colors. They were manufactured after January 1, 2004. Helmet model numbers: 89888 or 88003 (toddler), 89951 or 88001 (girl's 8-vent youth), 89952 or 88002 (boy's 8-vent youth), or 89917 (14-vent child's) appear on a white label inside the helmets, along with date of manufacture (YYYY/MM/DD) and the words "Made in China." Target product identification numbers: 082-01-0520 (toddler), 082-01-0149 (girl's 8-vent youth), 082-01-0189 (boy's 8-vent youth), and 082-01-0334 (14-vent child's) and the brand name "back trails jr.," appear on the product packaging. August 17, 2005 Torelli Imports Recall of Bicycle Tires

This recall involves Torelli Verona and Lugano Open Tubular bicycle tires with folding Kevlar beads, used to hold the tire to the rim. A red and white label on the sidewall of the Verona model has "Torelli Verona 700 X 23 100-130 psi Handmade Open Tubular" printed on it. A green and white label on the lowed edge of the Lugano model has "Torelli Lugano 700 X 23 100-130 psi Handmade Open Tubular" printed on it.
