CPSC, Ol' Man Treestands Announce Recall of Hunting Tree Stands The following product safety recall was conducted voluntarily by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using the product immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. Name of Product: Tree Stands for Hunters Units: 1,775 Manufacturer: Ol' Man Treestands, of Hattiesburg, Miss., a division of L & L Enterprises, Inc. Hazard: A serrated blade that supports the stand on a tree can bend, posing the risk of falls and serious injuries to hunters. Incidents/Injuries: Ol' Man Treestands has received five reports of serrated blades bending, but no reports of injuries. Description: The climbing tree stands included in this recall are the Original Ol' Man Double X with model number OMDX-MO, Grand Ol' Man Double X with model number GOMDX-MO, Multi-Vision with model number MV- MO, and Grand Multi-Vision with Model number GMV-MO. All units have Warning labels affixed to the stands varying in weight capacities of 250 lbs to 350 lbs. The bottom platform of each tree stand has a lot number stamped on the serrated blades that would indicate when it was produced. Only tree stands having the number 1903 or 2103 stamped on the blades of the stand bottom are included in the recall. The stands have a mesh net seat and are painted green. Sold At: Hunting supply stores, Web sites and catalogs nationwide from June 2003 through November 2003 for between $160 and $270. Manufactured In: China. Remedy: Consumers should stop using these treestands with 1903 and 2103 stamping on the blades immediately, and discard or destroy the product. The Lynx is an off-road vehicle, shaped like a golf cart, but designed for hunters and sportsmen. The name "Club Car" appears on the front of the vehicle. The recalled vehicles have serial number prefix LX0344 through LX0353, and LX0401 through LX0409. The serial number is located on a decal just above and to the right of the accelerator pedal. This recall involves Gator Utility Vehicles that are 4- to 6-wheeled vehicles with cargo boxes. The words "John Deere" and "Gator" appear on the side of the cargo box. Read more.
The recall involves the Polaris model year 2003 and 2004 Magnum 330 4x4 and Magnum 330 Mossy Oak ATVs and model year 2004 Magnum 330 2x4, Trail Boss 330, ATP 330, and ATP 500 ATVs. The recalled ATVs have the following model numbers, which can be found on the certification decal located on the front center body panel: A03CD32(AA)(AC), A04CD32(AA)(AB)(AC), A04CB32(AA)(FC), A04CA32(AA)(AB), A04JD32AA, and A04JD50(AA)(AB)(CA). The name "Polaris" is prominently displayed on the right and left side of the seat and/or on the side body panels. Read more.
This recall involves Raptor 1000M off-road utility vehicles. The two-wheel drive vehicles have two seats and a back bed. "Raptor" is printed in black under the vehicles gas cap. Only two wheel drive vehicles with transaxle manufactured between April 12, 2001 and July 31, 2003 are included in this recall. Read more.
Treadmill is black with gray coloring and has rectangular uprights. It is 69" in length and 30" in width. It has a small display panel that is almost as wide as the treadmill. The brands and models "Cybex 400T," "Cybex 410T," "Trotter 510," "Trotter 525," or "Trotter 535" are written on the display panel. "CXT+" is another recalled model but does not bear the brand Cybex or Trotter. Read more.
The recalled Kawasaki ATVs include both 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive versions of the Prairie 300 and 400 units, with model years between 1997 and 2000. The ATVs come in green or red and have the words, "Kawasaki" and "Prairie" printed on each side of the vehicle, "300" or "400" printed on the left side, and ""4x4" printed on the side of the seat (for the 4-wheel drive models only).
