December 1, 2011 Halloween Projection Flashlights Recalled by Nygala Corp. Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

The black and orange plastic flashlight is 6 ½ inches long and has pumpkins, bats, witches, haunted houses and cats on the handle. The flashlights come with six different plastic lenses that attach to the flashlight to project various images, including a pumpkin, bat, witch, haunted house and cat. The flashlights use two AA batteries. “Flomo,” “HW189” and UPC 677916518266 are printed on the packaging. Read more.


January 6, 2011 Quoizel Inc. Recalls Outdoor Hanging Lantern Due to Fall Hazard

The recall involves outdoor hanging lanterns labeled as "Northridge" in the Quiozel 2009 Catalog with the model number #AGNT1912K. The lantern is made of black aluminum; yellow, orange and white glass; and red, orange and beige agate stones. It is 19.5" tall and 12" diameter. The model number is located on the side of the lantern's box, on a tag attached to the lantern, on the instruction sheet and on the lantern's ceiling mount. Read more.


October 28, 2010 Dollar Tree Recalls Children's Halloween Lanterns Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

This recall involves plastic Halloween-themed lanterns designed to resemble a pumpkin, ghost and skull. The lanterns are about 6 1/2 inches tall and were sold in orange, white and black. Model number 954437-13096-003-1005 is printed on the bottom of the lanterns. Read more.


October 19, 2010 Dollar Tree Recalls Children's Projector Flashlights Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

The recalled projector flashlights are about 6 1/2 inches in length and have the Wolverine, Spider-Man and Iron Man characters and names printed on them. The flashlights come with five extra mini discs that attach to the flashlight to project various images. The back of the packaging contains the number 16879-20012-003-1003 and UPC 6 39277 16879 5. September 14, 2010 The Coleman Company Recalls Water-Activated Spotlights Due to Risk of Impact Injury

The recalled spotlights are Coleman® water-activated hand-held spotlights, model number 5338-782 (orange) UPC 76501 222733, model number 5338-792 (yellow) UPC 76501 222753 and model number 2000000153 (blue/white) UPC 76501 226683. A white label is affixed to the inside of the spotlight lens with the model number and production date information printed on the label. Read more.


September 8, 2010 Rechargeable Spotlights Recalled by Innovage Due to Burn Hazard

This recall involves the One Million Candlepower Spotlight, a rechargeable halogen light. The handheld spotlight is made of yellow plastic and has a black label that reads, “FIXIT Tools UP TO 1,000,000 CANDLE POWER” or “FIXIT Rechargeable Spotlight.” The spotlight is sold with an AC power charger and a 12 volt car utility adapter. August 3, 2010 Bed Bath & Beyond Recalls Solar Lighted Cantilever Umbrellas Due to Injury Hazard

The recalled product is a 13-foot Solar Lighted Cantilever Umbrella. The umbrella has tan or chocolate colored material, lights and a black supporting pole. The UPC numbers are 444444550439 (tan) and 444444583963 (chocolate) and can be found on the product packaging. The model numbers are 8070C-S and 8070C-L and can be found on the assembly and operating instruction that were enclosed with the product packaging. Read more.


July 6, 2010 Recall to Repair: Whitco Company LP Stadium Light Poles Can Fall Over, Posing Risk of Serious Injury and Death

This recall to inspect and repair involves Whitco Co. LP outdoor steel stadium light poles from about 70 to 135 feet and weigh from about 1 to 4 tons. The poles are constructed of steel with a galvanized coating and were manufactured between 2000-2005.The poles can be found at facilities such as recreational parks and fields, schools and outdoor stadiums.
