April 20, 2006 - HP Recalls Notebook Computer Batteries Due to Fire Hazard
The recalled lithium ion rechargeable batteries are used with various HP and Compaq notebook computers. The recalled batteries are a subset of those manufactured in early January 2005, and will have a bar code label starting with L3. HP and Compaq Notebook Model Series that may contain a recalled battery include:
December 16, 2005- Dell Recall of Notebook Computer Batteries
The recalled batteries were sold with the following Dell notebook computers: Latitude™ D410, D505, D510, D600, D610, D800, D810; Inspiron™ 510M, 600M, 6000, 8600, 9200, 9300, XPS Gen 2; and Dell Precision™ M20 and M70 mobile workstations. The batteries were also sold separately, including as secondary batteries and in response to service calls. The batteries insert into the battery bay located on the underside of the notebook. "Dell" and "Made in Japan" or "Made in China" are stamped on the batteries. The identification number for each battery appears on a white sticker. Customers should have this number available when they contact Dell to determine if their battery is part of the recall. October 14, 2005- Hewlett-Packard Company Recall of Notebook Computer Batteries
The recalled lithium ion rechargeable battery packs are used with various HP and Compaq notebook computers (see list below). The recalled battery packs are a subset of those manufactured March 2004 through September 2004, and will have a bar code label starting with GC, IA, L0 or L1. May 31, 2005- Hitachi Cable Manchester Inc. Recall of 25- and 50-Pair Plenum Network Cables
The recalled cables typically were installed in data centers and other commercial applications. The part numbers for the recalled cables are 39419-50 (25-pair, category 5e); 30171-100 (50-pair, category 5e); and 30105-50 (25-pair, category 5). Only HCM brand cables with the following lot numbers are affected by this recall: AE589 and A4309 through A5551. The part number and lot number are printed on the jacket of the cables. May 31, 2005- Cables To Go Recall of Power Adapters Sold with Go!Data Drive Enclosures
The recall involves AC power adapters sold with Go!Data 3.5-inch IDE external hard drive enclosures. The AC adapters were sold only with the drive enclosures. "PRiver" or "MoreTec" is written on the enclosures. May 20, 2005- Apple Recall of iBook and PowerBook Computer Batteries
The recalled lithium ion batteries are used with the following computers: 12-inch iBook G4, 12-inch PowerBook G4 and 15-inch PowerBook G4. The recalled batteries include those with model numbers A1061, A1078 and A1079 and serial numbers that begin with HQ441 through HQ507 or 3X446 through 3X510. Consumers should remove the battery from the computer to view the model and serial numbers labeled on the bottom of the unit. No other PowerBook or iBook batteries are involved in this recall. January 14, 2005- Philips PC Peripherals Recall of Hewlett-Packard Company L2035 Flat Panel Monitors
The recall involves only the HP L2035 Flat Panel Monitor with serial numbers ranging from CNP352Y001 to CNP423Y1HS. The model number is displayed at the bottom, center of the monitor's bezel, just above the control buttons. The recalled monitors were produced from December 2003 through June 2, 2004.
