This recall involves the Pumptec electronic motor controller for 115v/230v submersible motors rated 1/3 to 1 1/2 HP with model number 5800020600 and date codes of 06F45 through 09L45. October 15, 2009 Single Meter Sockets Recalled by Milbank Manufacturing Due to Fire and Electrocution Hazards

The single meter 200 amp/4 terminal sockets are used for underground utility meter installations. The meter socket is 20 3/4 inches high by 9 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches deep with 1 meter position. It is used by the approving utility to mount their electric meter to measure how much electricity a residence uses. It can be used for an underground residential application. The recalled model number 9090 appears on the right or left side of the installed meter socket. If not installed, model numbers U9090-O or R9090-O will appear on the label on the outside of the box. August 13, 2009 Homelite, Husky and Black Max Generators Recalled Due to Fire Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Home Depot and Sam's Club Stores

This recall involves Homelite and Husky brand generators sold exclusively at Home Depot stores and Black Max brand generators sold exclusively at Sam’s Club stores. Affected generators include Homelite models HG3500, HG3510, HG5700 and HG5700R, Husky models HU3650, HUCA5700 and HUCA7000 and Black Max models BM10700, BM10700A, BM10700B, BM10711A, BM10700DG, BM10700R, BM10700BR & BM10722G. Generators included in this recall have manufacturing date codes between BML306-BMM151, CHL122-CHM151 and CRL153-CRM059. The model number and manufacturing date code are included on the data label located on the top or side of the generator engine. Products with a green “dot” on the outside of the package or a “silver dot” on the fuel gauge face are not included in the recall. Read more.


July 1, 2009 Intermatic Recalls In-Wall Timers Due to Shock Hazard

This recall involves the Intermatic in-wall electronic timers with model numbers ST01, ST01C, ST01AC, ST01AC70, ST01C70, ST01CL, EI600C, EI600LAC, EI600LAC8, EI600WC, and EI600WC8. This product is a lamp and appliance timer and typically takes the place of a standard wall switch. The timer is white, off-white, or almond and measures 2 1/2 inches high by 1 3/4 inches wide. Model numbers can be found on the packaging and on the instruction. In-Wall timers are included in this recall if (1) the brand name “Intermatic” is molded on the front of the timer cover door, (2) the timer has only four keypad buttons, and (3) there is no 3-digit date code (e.g. “04C”) stamped on the inside of the timer cover door. Timers with a 3-digit date code (e.g. “04C”) stamped on the inside of the timer cover door are not included in this recall. Read more.

The recalled PowerPlus Generators are red with a black frame. The model number (BM7200 Power+) is printed on the side of the unit. Recalled units have a date of manufacture of 02/2009 labeled on the fuel tank. Read more.


April 7, 2009 Stanley and Solarwide Industrial Recall Stud Sensors Due to Shock Hazard

The recalled stud sensor models include the Stanley® Stud Sensor 200 and Stanley® FatMax® Stud Sensor 400 with model numbers 77-720 and 77-730. The model number is located in a slide-out reference guide found in the base of the sensor’s handle. The sensors are made of black plastic with a wide yellow stripe down the center. “Stanley” or “FatMax” are printed on the front of the product. A date code is printed on the inside of the battery cover. Affected sensors have date codes that do not begin with the letter “R.” Read more.


April 2, 2009 Faulty Installation Instructions Prompt RadioShack Corp. Recall of Electrical Switches; Shock Hazard to Consumers

This recall involves the RadioShack Illuminated Round Rocker Switch, catalog number 275-0021 and a date code of 01P09, or January 2009, and earlier. The switches are used as replacement on/off switches for electronics or for use in hobby projects. The wiring diagram, the catalog number, and manufacturing dates are located on the back of the product’s packaging. In the date code MMPYY, MM is the month and YY is the year. Read more.


March 18, 2009 Gas Generators Recalled by Sycamore SCS Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves the following models of the Sycamore Pro gas generators: APEX 3, APEX 7, APEX 6, EGS 3.2, EGS 4.8, and EGS 7. “Sycamore Professional” and the model name can be found on the front of the generator. All models are black and green and have side control panels. The APEX 3, 6, and 7 are portable generators and have two wheels. The EGS 3.2, 4.8, and 7.2 do not have wheels. Read more.

ISBN #978-1-56158-942-5 is printed on the back cover. October 14, 2008 Portable Generators Recalled by General Power Products Due to Fire Hazard

This recall includes the General Power Products 6000 Watt portable generator and the Poulan Pro 6000 Watt portable generator with serial numbers 060400483 through 060600725. The serial number is stamped on the engine block which is located on the front of the engine below the generator’s control panel. “General Power Products” and “6000 Generator” are printed on the side of the General Power Products generator. “Poulan Pro” and “6000 watts” are printed on the side of the Poulan Pro generator.
