Recalls: Heating and Ventilation and Air Conditioning

This recall involves KUL small, black portable fan heaters. The KUL logo is printed on the front bottom of the heaters next to the power dial. The fan heater measures about 9 inches long by 5 inches wide by 10.5 inches tall. The fans weigh about two pounds. An adhesive label is on the bottom of the heater with model number "KU39229" and "Date: 0515" in the lower right-hand corner. Read more.

This recall involves Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners (PTAC) and Packaged Terminal Heat Pumps (PTHP) sold under the Bryant, Carrier and Fast brand names. Recalled units include those with original power cords and those that received a supplemental power cord as part of the 2007 recall. The recalled units have capacities of 7,000; 9,000; 12,000 and 15,000 BTUs and plug into 208/230-volt, 20-amp outlets. The following brands and eight models are being recalled: Carrier models 52CE, 52CQ, 52PE and 52PQ; Bryant models 840 and 841; and Fast models 840 and 841. Model and serial numbers are located on the ratings/data plate on the right front of the unit, underneath the removable front panel. This recall involves 43 models of Casablanca ceiling fans manufactured in 2013 and 2014. Casablanca fan styles including: Alessandria, Aris, Bel Air, Bullet, Caneel Bay, Heritage, Isotope, Riello, Stealth, Tercera, Trident, Whitman and Zudio. Affected models have a gold label on top of the motor housing that includes "Casablanca" and a model number. Some Casablanca models also have the Casablanca logo on the switch housing or on the end of the pull chain. The production date code is a four-digit code on top of the motor housing near the center down rod. Fans with a Cat. No. "A01", the last two digits of the four-digit date code ending in "13" or "14" and no green dot on top of the motor housing are included in the recall. These units are most often used in hotels, apartment buildings and commercial spaces. The GE logo is affixed to the control panel door. The recall includes United States Stove Company's HomComfort 2400 24K BTU Pellet Heater/Stoves. These steel and polycarbonate products are gray and are used as a window mounted heating appliance. The heaters measure about 21.5 inches high by 24.5 inches deep by 23 inches wide. Serial numbers included in the recall are 0451 through 4420, 5681 through 5890 and 6301 through 6310. This recall involves Trane and American Standard brand accessory heaters manufactured between November 2014 and March 2015 and installed in TAM7 and TAM8 air handlers as a primary or secondary heat source. Models included in the recall are BAYEVBC15BK1BAA (15 KW Electric Heater) with serial numbers 1447B2BP1X through 1512B2CDDX and Model BAYEVCC25BK1BAA (25 KW Electric Heater) with serial numbers 1503B2AP0X through 1513B2BHXX. This recall involves Quadra-Fire® Mt. Vernon E2 pellet stoves and inserts. The cast iron pellet stove is about 32 inches high, 28 inches wide, 29 inches deep and has a matte black, sienna bronze, porcelain mahogany or porcelain black finish. The inserts are about 34 inches wide in front by 24 inches high by 15 inches deep. The viewing area is 21 inches by 14 inches and has a matte black, sienna bronze or porcelain mahogany finish. The recall includes Brewmaster belt-driven fans powered by a remote motor. The fans have two blades of various styles and colors, and were sold in a short neck assembly, extending 15 inches from the ceiling and a long assembly extending 26 inches from the ceiling. The fans were sold in antique brass, pewter and black hardware. A face plate on the lower part of the head assembly reads in part, "THE BREWMASTER by FANIMATION." This recall is for Lifepro brand portable infrared quartz space heater models LS-IQH-DMICRO and LS-IQH-MICRO. The recalled heaters are about 6 1/2 inches tall x 5 inches wide x 3 3/4 inches deep and made of black plastic. They have a three-prong plug built into the back to allow them to be plugged directly into an electrical outlet. The Lifepro logo is molded into the front bottom of the heaters. Model LS-IQH-DMICRO is a 400-watt heater with digital display on the top. Model LS-IQH-MICRO is a 450-watt heater with no display.
