November 13, 2014 Ventamatic Recalls Cool Draft Misting Fans Due to Risk of Fire and Electric Shock

This recall involves Cool Draft misting mid-pressure and high-pressure misting fans. The misting fans fit on top of 15-gallon yellow or orange round Igloo coolers or on top of gray 40-gallon water tanks. Cool Draft by Ventamatic is printed on a sticker on the fan's water tank and www.cooldraft.com is printed on a sticker in the center of all of fans. Read more.


October 9, 2014 Fluid Handling Recalls Low Water Cut-Off Control Units for Hot Water or Steam Boilers Due to Fire and Explosion Hazards (Recall Alert)

This recall involves McDonnell and Miller series 750 Low Water Cut-Off control units, which in connection with a water level sensor, are used as a primary or secondary safety control on hot water or steam boilers to signal the boiler to provide protection in low water conditions. The unit is mounted on the outside of a boiler, generally near the boiler's main electrical panel. They are black and measure about 6 inches high x 5 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches deep. The units have a green LED "On" light, a red LED "Low Water" light and test and manual reset buttons on the top. "McDonnell and Miller," "Guard Dog," "Low Water Cut-Off" and model numbers 750-MT-120, 751-MT-120, 751P-MT-120 or 752P-MT-24 are printed on a white label on the outside of the unit. September 3, 2014 Great Innovations Recalls Humidifiers Due to Fire Hazard; Sold Exclusively by QVC (Recall Alert)

This recall involves Air Innovations branded Ultrasonic Clean Mist humidifiers with mood lights. Model number MH-407 and date code MX1342, MX1343, MX1344, MX1344, MX1345 or MX1346 are printed on a label affixed to the underside of the humidifier. The recalled humidifiers are 15 inches high and were sold in four colors: black, silver, red and blue. A mood light button and the words "Air Innovations" are on the front of the one-gallon humidifiers. QVC item number V32459 is printed on the packing slip shipped with the humidifier. Read more.


August 27, 2014 Goodman Company Recalls Air Conditioning and Heating Units Due to Burn and Fire Hazards

The recall involves Amana, Century, Comfort-Aire, Goodman and York International-branded Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps. The units are rated 230/208 volt, 3.5 kW and are most often installed in walls of hotels, motels, apartment buildings and commercial spaces to provide room climate control. The recalled units are beige with serial numbers ranging from 0701009633 through 0804272329. The brand name is located on the unit's front cover. The serial number is located on the control board plate found by lifting the unit's front cover. Read more.


August 14, 2014 Vornado Air Recalls Electric Space Heaters Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

This recall involves Vornado VH110 Whole Room Vortex electric space heaters sold in two colors, black and white. The heaters measure about 10.5 inches high, 9 inches deep and 10.5 inches at the base growing narrower at the top. The on/off switch and the high/low heat settings are located on top of the unit. The Vornado logo appears with a gray "V" on the front of the unit. Recalled heaters have the numbers 1 and 3 as the fourth and fifth digits of the serial number. June 26, 2014 Wolf Steel Recalls Napoleon Propane Gas Fireplaces Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves the GD3200-P flush glass front and GD3200B-P with a bay window, propane gas fireplaces. The fireplaces are black and approximately 33 inches tall and 31.25 inches wide with gold accent designs on the top and bottom of the outside of the product. The model number GD3200-P and GD3200B-P can be found in the center of the rating label. The rating label is located on the base of the fireplace behind the lower louvered access door. Read more.

This recall involves 37 models of Trane XB300 and American Standard brand Silver SI split system outdoor cooling units. The units are gray and have a black grated front. The units were sold in two sizes: 25.5 inches deep by 23.5 inches wide by 28.83 inches tall and 28.83 inches deep by 28.48 inches wide by 29.28 inches tall. The Trane or American Standard logo is affixed to the front and model numbers are printed on the silver nameplate on the back of the unit. This recall involves Weil-McLain Ultra models 80, 105, 155 and 230 MBH gas-fired boilers used for space heating. The boilers have a serial number range between CP 6557046 and CP 6955985. Model and serial numbers are located on a bar-coded label affixed to the lower right side of the boiler, behind the removable front panel. The boilers have a Weil-McLain logo plate affixed to the front, a pewter/flat black cover and are either freestanding or wall-mounted. Read more.


May 29, 2014 Sunbeam Recalls Holmes Ceramic Heaters Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves Holmes oscillating ceramic heaters sold in black, purple, red, blue and white. The rectangular heaters included in the recall are about 12 inches tall, 8 ½ inches wide and 5 ½ inches deep and have model number HCH1823M printed on a label on the bottom of the product. The "Holmes" logo is on the bottom front of the unit and two knobs controlling the fan and the thermostat are on the top.
