February 24, 2015 Fanimation Recalls Brewmaster Ceiling Fans Due to Risk of Injury

The recall includes Brewmaster belt-driven fans powered by a remote motor. The fans have two blades of various styles and colors, and were sold in a short neck assembly, extending 15 inches from the ceiling and a long assembly extending 26 inches from the ceiling. The fans were sold in antique brass, pewter and black hardware. A face plate on the lower part of the head assembly reads in part, "THE BREWMASTER by FANIMATION." Fans with the following model numbers on their packaging are included in the recall: FP10AB, FP10AC, FP10BL, FP10PW, FP20AB, FP20AC, FP20BL and FP20PW. Read more.

February 4, 2015 Lifesmart Recalls Lifepro Brand Portable Mini Space Heaters Due to Electrical Shock Hazard

This recall is for Lifepro brand portable infrared quartz space heater models LS-IQH-DMICRO and LS-IQH-MICRO. The recalled heaters are about 6 1/2 inches tall x 5 inches wide x 3 3/4 inches deep and made of black plastic. They have a three-prong plug built into the back to allow them to be plugged directly into an electrical outlet. The Lifepro logo is molded into the front bottom of the heaters. Model LS-IQH-DMICRO is a 400-watt heater with digital display on the top. Model LS-IQH-MICRO is a 450-watt heater with no display. January 29, 2015 Sunbeam Recalls Holmes Oil Filled Heaters Due to Scald Hazard

This recall involves Holmes brand oil-filled heaters that are black or white in color. The heaters included in the recall are about 23 inches tall, 6 inches deep and 12 inches wide and have model number HOH3000 or HOH3000B printed on a label on the bottom of the product. The "Holmes" logo is near the power switch and temperature control. Products affected have a code on the heater plug blade within the following range: G192 through G298. No other codes are affected. December 2, 2014 Daikin Recalls Air Purifiers Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves Daikin brand streamer portable air purifiers with model number MC75KSU. The air purifiers are portable and are designed to remove dust, particles and allergens from indoor air in the home or office. They are cream-colored and measure about 23 inches tall by 15 inches wide by 8 inches deep. "Daikin" is printed on the front of the units. This recall involves air exchangers with and without heat recovery sold under different brands that are used to circulate air in and out of the home. This recall involves Cool Draft misting mid-pressure and high-pressure misting fans. The misting fans fit on top of 15-gallon yellow or orange round Igloo coolers or on top of gray 40-gallon water tanks. October 9, 2014 Fluid Handling Recalls Low Water Cut-Off Control Units for Hot Water or Steam Boilers Due to Fire and Explosion Hazards (Recall Alert)

This recall involves McDonnell and Miller series 750 Low Water Cut-Off control units, which in connection with a water level sensor, are used as a primary or secondary safety control on hot water or steam boilers to signal the boiler to provide protection in low water conditions. The unit is mounted on the outside of a boiler, generally near the boiler's main electrical panel. They are black and measure about 6 inches high x 5 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches deep. The units have a green LED "On" light, a red LED "Low Water" light and test and manual reset buttons on the top. "McDonnell and Miller," "Guard Dog," "Low Water Cut-Off" and model numbers 750-MT-120, 751-MT-120, 751P-MT-120 or 752P-MT-24 are printed on a white label on the outside of the unit. This recall involves Air Innovations branded Ultrasonic Clean Mist humidifiers with mood lights. Model number MH-407 and date code MX1342, MX1343, MX1344, MX1344, MX1345 or MX1346 are printed on a label affixed to the underside of the humidifier. The recalled humidifiers are 15 inches high and were sold in four colors: black, silver, red and blue. The recall involves Amana, Century, Comfort-Aire, Goodman and York International-branded Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps. The units are rated 230/208 volt, 3.5 kW and are most often installed in walls of hotels, motels, apartment buildings and commercial spaces to provide room climate control. The recalled units are beige with serial numbers ranging from 0701009633 through 0804272329. The brand name is located on the unit's front cover.
