November 18, 2021 Goodman Manufacturing Company Recalls Evaporator Coil Drain Pans Installed with Condensing Gas Furnaces Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves evaporator coil drain pans paired with residential condensing gas furnaces that are installed in a vertical, or "up-flow," configuration. Furnaces in this configuration that were installed or repaired with a new evaporator coil drain pan between January 2019 and November 2021 are affected by this recall. Only evaporator drain pans with serial numbers with prefixes ranging from 1901 through 2101 are covered by this recall. The evaporator coil, which sits atop the vertically installed furnace, will either be cased or uncased. The evaporator coil's serial number is displayed on a label attached to both cased and uncased models. For cased evaporator coils, the serial number is on the label attached to the coil case. For uncased units, the serial number is on a label attached to the front of the coil. It may be necessary to determine the brand and model number of your existing furnace in order to provide the correct repair kit. In most instances, the furnace brand and model number can be found on your furnace on the "Energy Guide" label. For all other instances, please refer to the instructions on Goodman's model verification tool at: www.recallrtr.com/drainpan The model number of the outdoor condenser your furnace is paired with may also be required. November 18, 2021 Amazon Recalls AmazonBasics Mattresses Due to Violation of Federal Flammability Standard (Recall Alert)

The recall involves AmazonBasics Memory Foam Mattresses in 10" and 12" sizes. The recalled mattresses were manufactured in twin, full, queen, king and California king sizes. The mattresses are white with "amazonbasics" printed on the foot panel and have a white federal label with "Amazon.com Services Inc." identified as the importer. Read more.


November 10, 2021 Hart Consumer Products Recalls Nailers Due to Injury Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Walmart

This recall involves Hart 18-Gauge 2" Brad Nailers with model numbers HPNR01, HPNR01B, HPNR01B-SK, or HPNR01BNCA. The white, blue, and black handheld tool has the name "HART" on the side of the nailer in white type on a black background and has "18ga BRAD NAILER" on the side of the nail tray/magazine in white type on a blue background. The model numbers are located on the side of the nail tray/magazine where the nails are loaded. Read more.


November 3, 2021 Usines Giant Factories Recalls Gas Water Heaters with Emerson Control Valves Due to Risk of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

The recall involves propane and natural gas water heaters in 40, 50, and 75 gallon capacities. The recalled water heaters are white with a red "Giant" logo decal on the front. The water heaters have a nameplate near the Emerson gas control valve with the following model number ranges. UG40-38LFPV2-P1U-US, UG40-40LFPV2-N1U-US, UG50-38LFPV2-P1U-US, UG50-38LFPV2-P2U-US, UG50-38TFPDV1-N2U-US, UG50-40LFPV2-N1U-US, UG50-40LFPV2-N2U-US, UG75-76MEPV1-N2U-US, UG75-76MEPV1-P2U-US. The control valves are black with a white "Emerson" logo on the front. The Emerson control valve model numbers and date code are located on a label on the right-hand side of the bracket holding the Emerson control valve to the gas water heater. The recalled control valve model numbers are 37H73A-301P1 (natural gas) and 37H74A-301P1 (propane) with a date code between 1821 and 1839. Read more.


October 22, 2021 Walmart Recalls Better Homes and Gardens Essential Oil Infused Aromatherapy Room Spray with Gemstones Due to Rare and Dangerous Bacteria; Two Deaths Investigated

The aromatherapy room spray was sold at about 55 Walmart stores nationwide and online at walmart.com from February 2021 through October 2021 for about $4. "Better Homes and Gardens Aromatherapy," is printed on the label on the front of the 5-ounce glass bottle. August 18, 2021 Intertex Recalls Blower Fans Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves the model VP-33 blower fans sold under the B-AirĀ® Brand and intended primarily for commercial use for remediation. The recalled blowers were manufactured before January 1, 2018. The recalled air mover, 1/3 horsepower fans were sold in blue, red or green in a neon yellow-colored box. The B-Air logo is on the vent and on the product label. Read more.

August 11, 2021 dormakaba Recalls Delayed Egress Locks Due to Risk of Entrapment in an Emergency

This recall involves dormakaba Delayed Egress Locks with model number DE8310 found on the inside of the wiring cavity cover plate. These locks detect when pressure is applied to a door and are set with a release delay of 15 or 30 seconds. The recalled locks include an internal or external alarm sounder, key switch for reset and override, and a building code sign for single out swinging doors. Delayed egress locks are typically used on perimeter exit doors and internal fire doors to discourage or delay unauthorized exit while providing a safe means of escape during a fire or other catastrophic emergency.
