March 9, 2010 Gerber Legendary Blades Recalls Machetes Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves the Gerber Gator Machete and Gator Machete Jr. with the original handle (see picture below). The Gator Machete is approximately 25 1/2" long and the Machete Jr. is approximately 18 3/4" long. The blade is marked with the "Gerber" trademark. The Gator Machete and Machete Jr. with a modified handle (an extended hand guard) are not included in this recall (see picture below). Consumers should visually inspect their machete to determine if it is included in this recall. Read more.

February 25, 2010 Climate Control Footrests Recalled by Fellowes Due to Fire Hazard

The recalled footrests are black and made of plastic. The Fellowes brand item #80309 can be found on the serial label at the bottom side of the footrest, which can be identified by Revision or letter “A” on the label, which appears after the date code. Read more.

February 18, 2010 Motor Controllers for Submersible Pump Systems Recalled by Franklin Electric Due to Shock Hazard

This recall involves the Pumptec electronic motor controller for 115v/230v submersible motors rated 1/3 to 1 1/2 HP with model number 5800020600 and date codes of 06F45 through 09L45. The model number and date code can be found on the nameplate label located on the right-hand side of the enclosure. Read more.

February 18, 2010 GE Infrastructure Sensing Recalls Commercial CO2 and Temperature Sensors Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves GE Telaire Airestat CO2 and temperature sensors with model numbers T8010, T8010-C, T8011, T8011-C, T5010, T5010-C, T5011 and T5011-C and Carrier Single Beam CO2 and temperature sensors with model numbers 33ZCT55CO2 and 33ZCT56CO2. The sensors are sold for commercial use and are wall-mounted. The sensors have a Telaire, Carrier, or no logo in front of the unit. The model number is not found on the sensor. Determining if a sensor is included in this recall requires inspection of the internal components of the unit. Read more.

January 21, 2010 Connector Kits Used with Sonitrol Access Control Modules Recalled; Failure Could Lead to Entrapment in an Emergency

The recalled pin connectors were distributed in installation kits (part number 8Z-40010751) for use with Sonitrol-brand ACCESS4-S and ACCESS4-SULC four-door access control modules. The recalled connectors include two-pin, eight-pin and 17-pin models, all of which have “EB560” imprinted on the end. Read more.

December 30, 2009 Dehumidifiers Recalled by LG Electronics Tianjin Appliance Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

This recall involves 30 pint portable dehumidifiers sold under the brand names in the chart below. The dehumidifiers are white with a red shut-off button, controls for fan speed and humidity control and a front-loading water bucket. “Goldstar” or “Comfort-Aire” is printed on the front. The model and serial numbers are printed on the interior of the dehumidifiers and can be viewed after the water bucket is removed. Read more.

December 23, 2009 Utility Knife Recalled by Dollar Tree Due to Laceration Hazard

The utility knife is black or gray and measures about 6 inches long and about 1 ¼ inches wide. The package includes an extra blade. “Tool Bench Utility Knife” is printed on the front of the product’s packaging. “975942,” date code “93” and “UPC 639277759429” are printed on the back of the packaging.
