April 4, 2006 Tecumseh Engines Used on Various Power Equipment Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

The recall includes power equipment with Tecumseh engines listed below. The engine model number and date of manufacture (DOM) information is located on a label on the side of the housing. The recalled engines have a date of manufacture code (DOM) that starts with 05241 to 05286. The label on the engine reads, "Tecumseh Power Company," and in addition to the Model and DOM information, lists the Spec number needed for identification. Read more.


March 22, 2006 Valsi Corporation Recall of Generators with Plastic Fuel Tanks For Fire Hazard

The Valsi "G" model G38MG0750RV, G42MG0750RV, G55MG0900RV, and G65MG1100RV are portable generators with black plastic fuel tank, full lifting frame, and side control panel. The recalled generators are black with blue label and have "Valsi Generator" printed on the label. Read more.


March 1, 2006 Infant Seats for Shopping Carts Recalled, Chalky Residue Could Cause Skin Irritation

Gray or red infant seats that are permanently attached to shopping carts in retail stores. "SAFE-SEAT +" is molded into the side of these seats. A metal tube around the frame of the seat attaches it to the shopping cart. Read more.

February 2, 2006 Four Seasons and Cardinal IG Co. Recall to Repair Sunroom Roof Glass

The repair program involves only the roof glass in sunrooms (including skylights installed as part of the sunroom) that reflect sunlight onto nearby cedar shingles or cedar shakes. It involves reflective Code 77 roof insulating glass units. It includes new sunrooms sold from 1996 through 2002, but possibly constructed later, and those sunrooms, regardless of when built, that had roof glass or skylights replaced with Code 77 glass from 1996 to 2005. DESA 40-80,000 BTU Portable Propane Convection Heaters generate from 40,000 to 80,000 BTUs an hour. The following model names and number are involved in this recall: Reddy Heater (RCP80VC), All-Pro (SPC-80CC), MASTER (TC80VC), Universal (80-CC), and Dayton (6BY73). These heaters have serial numbers between 017390000 and 017632220. The model and serial numbers are on the carton and on labels attached to the heater. January 26, 2006 Fire Hazard with Oscillating Heater Sold in Wal-Mart Prompts Recall

The recalled model is CH920. The ceramic portable electric heaters are the oscillating tower type. They are grey and have a control panel attached to the top of the unit.
