November 23, 2005 Louisville Ladder Inc. Recall of Industrial Ladders

The recalled ladders are Type 1A industrial ladders with fiberglass rails and round aluminum rungs, and include the 14 model numbers listed on the chart with manufacture dates and date codes from November 2004 through March 2005. The model number and the manufacture date code for all models except the FA1012 and FA1016 model ladder are located on the model number/notice label on the side rail of the ladders. The date code for the model FA1012 and FA1016 ladder is located on the metal wrap-around adjacent to the hinges. Read more.

November 22, 2005 Haier America Trading LLC Recall of Oscillating Electric Tower Fans

This recall involves a Haier oscillating electric tower fan, model FTM140GG. The gray tower fan has three speed settings and a 120-minute shut-off timer. "Haier" is printed on a silver label near the top of the front of the tower. The model number is printed on the lower back of the fan. No other Haier fans are included in this recall. Read more.

November 17, 2005 Retailers Recall of Waterless Vaporizers and Aromatherapy Diffusers

The recalled waterless vaporizers are white plastic with vents. The aromatherapy diffusers are ivory plastic with vents. Both are 5-inches wide by 3 ½-inches high. "Vapor-Eze," and "Waterless Vaporizer" are written on the top of the vaporizer. "Vapor-Eze" and "Aromatic Therapy" are written on the top of the diffuser. Model 1070, 2070 or 3070 and "Juv. Prod's. The heating elements were sold to be used in soldering irons. Only heating elements with the following model numbers and dates codes from May 2005 through August 2005 are included in this recall: 1140A, 1233S, 1235S, 1236S, 1237S, 1237SBK, 2AC08, 2AC09, 2AC10, 37UG, 37BK, 6A909, 6A910, SL325, SL325BK, SL335, SL345, 360, 361, 362, 363, 4033S, 4033SBK, 4035S, 4035SBK, 4037J, 4037S, 4037SBK, 4039S, 533S, 535S537S, 6A908. November 10, 2005 World Kitchen Inc. Recall of Immersion Heaters

The immersion heaters are portable chrome-plated steel heaters with a white plastic handle and mug hook used for warming tea, coffee, soup, or other liquids. "IMMERSION HEATER," and "MADE IN TAIWAN" are embossed on the white plastic handle of these heaters. Some products were sold under the EKCO brand and others were sold with no brand. Read more.

November 9, 2005 Thane International Recall of Perfect Air Ultra Air Purifiers

The Perfect Air Ultra™ is an air filtration device to counter indoor air pollution. It measures approximately 12 inches high, 15 inches wide and 6 inches deep, and weighs about 3.2 pounds. The outer casing is made of white plastic and has a gray function plate that is inserted into the top of the unit. The purifier has four stacked tubular rows with a series of horizontal vents along the length of each row. "Perfect Air Ultra™" is not written on the unit, but is written on the instruction booklet included with the unit. Read more.

October 25, 2005 Hellenic Rug Imports Inc. Recall of Shag Leather Rugs

The recall includes only beige and champagne leather shag rugs with Hellenic's name on the label. Large sizes include 5-feet by 8-feet and 8-feet by 11-feet and small-size rugs include 3-feet 5-inches by 5-feet 5-inches, 2-feet by 3-feet and 2-feet by 8-feet. October 19, 2005 International Comfort Products LLC Recall to Repair "Packaged Gas Electric" Heating and Cooling Units, or "Gas-Packs"

The recall involves certain limited "Gas-Packs" sold under the brand names Airquest, Arcoaire, Comfortmaker, Heil, Keeprite, Kenmore, ICP Commercial, and Tempstar. The affected units were manufactured between the 41st week of 2000 and the 26th week of 2003, and are installed outside the home. The model and serial numbers of affected units are printed on the unit's rating plate as shown in the photo below. Model numbers appear in the following typical format: PGC036K060A; serial numbers appear in the following typical format: L004112345. Affected models begin with PGC, PGF, PGS, GPFM, GPSM, or GPCM.
