June 30, 2011 Hamilton Beach Recalls Toasters Due to Fire Hazard

The Hamilton Beach recall involves model 22600 toasters with specific series codes. These series codes begin with the letters C or D, and have the format of CXXXXBI or DXXXXBI, where XXXX is a four-digit number ranging from 0190 through 5290. The model number and series code are printed on the bottom of the toaster. The toaster has a chromed steel exterior, a front control panel with a rotary toast shade selector and function buttons arranged in an arc, a front removable crumb tray and Hamilton Beach printed across the front of the toaster. June 14, 2011 Calphalon Recalls to Repair Contemporary Cutlery Knife Block Sets Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves all 17- and 21-piece Contemporary Cutlery Knife Sets with model numbers KNS17C and KNS21C. The knife sets were manufactured from August of 2007 through May 1, 2011. The recalled cutlery sets do not have model or date code markings on the wooden block although all sets have the "Calphalon" logo stamped in black on the front. Knife block sets with a three digit number imprinted on the underside are not included in this recall. Read more.


May 25, 2011 Walmart Recalls GE Food Processors Due to Laceration and Fire Hazard

This recall involves GE-branded digital, 14-cup food processors. The food processors are black with stainless steel trim, and model number 169203 is imprinted on the underside of the unit. Read more.


April 6, 2011 Williams-Sonoma Recalls Hot Chocolate Pots Due To Burn and Laceration Hazards

This recall involves the Whirly Whip hot chocolate pots sold individually as item number 2981454 or 4986535, and as part of the Whirly Whip hot chocolate pot gift set item number 3021714. The item number can be found on the product’s box, below the bar code. The pot is made of white porcelain and has a red handle. The lid has a red knob and a frother attached to the underside of the lid knob. Read more.


March 9, 2011 Sunbeam Products Recalls Wine Openers Due to Laceration Hazard; Sold by QVC

This recall involves the “skybar™ Air Pump Wine Opener” model number NBSKWA2600. The wine bottle opener was sold as a four piece set in the following colors: gray, blue, red or silver and black-colored with a black storage box. “skybar” is printed on the side of the wine bottle opener. Model number NBSKWA2600 is printed on the bottom of the wine bottle opener. Read more.


March 3, 2011 IKEA Recalls Coffee/Tea Makers Due to Burn and Laceration Hazards

This recall involves FÖRSTÅ coffee/tea makers sold in sizes 0.4 and 1 liters. The coffee/tea maker is a press pot comprising a handmade clear glass pot, metal holder and black plastic top and handle. Coffee/tea makers included in this recall have supplier number 20325, "IKEA" and "Made in China" etched on the bottom of the metal holder. Read more.


March 3, 2011 Liebherr Recalls Built-In Refrigerators Due to Injury Hazard; Door Can Detach

This recall involves Liebherr built-in 30-inch wide bottom freezer refrigerators with model and index numbers listed below. The refrigerators were sold individually or as side-by-side companion units. The refrigerators come in stainless steel and various custom finishes and are built into the kitchen cabinetry. "Liebherr" is written on the top interior control panel. The model number can be found on a label located behind the bottom drawer on the left interior side of the single door refrigerator. March 2, 2011 Burlington Coat Factory Recalls Slow Cookers Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves Bella Kitchen 5-quart programmable slow cookers. The slow cookers are black with "Bella Kitchen" printed on the control panel. Only slow cookers with model number WJ-5000DE and date codes 0907 or 0909 are included in this recall. February 23, 2011 Le Creuset Recalls Glass Lids Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves Le Creuset glass lids sold after October 2010. The clear glass lids measure between about 9 inches (24 cm) and about 12 inches (30 cm) and have “Le Creuset” stamped on the metal handles. The affected models include: 24cm glass lid, 28cm glass lid, and 30cm glass lid (including 30cm glass lids sold as part of the Le Creuset Forged Hard-Anodized 30cm Shallow Casserole with Lid set.). February 16, 2011 LEM Products Recalls Food Dehydrators Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves 5-tray and 10-tray LEM food dehydrators with serial numbers 2010 0701, 2010 0702, 2010 07021, 2010 0901, 2010 0902, 2010 1001 or 2010 1101. The dehydrators are gray and are made of plastic. The LEM logo is embossed on the top of the unit. The serial number is located on the label on the back panel. The last section of the UPC code found in the packaging reads “1009 1” for the 5-tray unit and “1010 7” for the 10-tray unit. Read more.
