January 23, 2013 Mattress Cloud Recalls Mattresses Due to Violation of Federal Flammability Standard

This recall involves Mattress Cloud new and renovated (rebuilt) twin, full, queen and king mattresses sets. The mattresses were sold in a variety of colors and fabrics. “Ultra Support” and “Ortho Type” are printed on iron-on labels on the mattresses. Recalled mattresses have a white federal tag with “Manufactured By: The mattress Cloud, 769 Chauncey, Brooklyn, NY 11207.” The recall involves all Mattress Cloud mattresses manufactured prior to January 25, 2012. Some mattress tags have no date printed on them which are included in the recall. Mattress tags with a date of manufacture on or after January 25, 2012 are not included in the recall. Read more.


December 13, 2012 American Mattress Manufacturing Recalls Renovated Mattresses Due to Violation of Federal Flammability Standard

This recall involves American Mattress Manufacturing’s renovated (rebuilt) twin, full, queen and king-size mattresses, and mattresses with built-in Bunkie boards. The used mattresses were stripped to the springs and rebuilt by American Mattress Manufacturing in a variety of fabrics and colors. The recalled mattresses have a yellow tag with “American Mattress Mfg. Co., 1899 Metropolitan Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30315.” Rebuilt mattresses with a federal tag, indicating they meet the federal mattress flammability standard, are not included in this recall. December 13, 2012 Mattresses Recalled by Easy-Rest Due to Violation of Federal Mattress Flammability Standard

This recall involves Easy-Rest “Classic” model mattresses sold in twin (model CL533) and in full size (model CL546). Some mattresses were also sold with a foundation. The mattresses have a red, zippered fabric cover over a five-inch foam core. “Classic 5,” the model number and the date of manufacture are printed on the federal label attached to the mattress. The lot number is printed at the bottom of the state label attached to the mattress. “Easy-Rest Inc.” is printed on both tags. Read more.


May 23, 2012 Chicago Century Furniture Corp. Recalls Mattresses for Violation of Federal Mattress Flammability Standard

This recall involves Chicago Century Furniture Corp. twin-, full-, queen- and king-size mattresses with the model number “MG006.” The mattresses are 3 inches thick with white and off-white fabric with a tone-on-tone swirl pattern. The model number can be found on a paper tag attached to the foot of the mattress. The words “Century Spring Mattress” appear on a fabric label on the topside near the foot of the mattress. March 22, 2012 Adjustable Mattress Bases Recalled by Leggett & Platt Due to Fire Hazard

The power foundations are motorized bed frames, controlled by handheld remotes, which enable the head and/or the foot of the bed mattress to be moved up and down. These power foundations were offered in all bed sizes and they were sold with handheld remote controls. The recalled models are “Titanium,” “Gold” and “Signature” by Leggett & Platt and other brands names including Interflex, American Signature, Spring Air, Sealy and Simmons. Since power foundations look very similar, consumers should identify their products by looking at the remote controls. The remotes controls are either black or dark gray and feature multiple buttons and a label with one of these brand names: Adjustables by Leggett & Platt, Interflex, American Signature, Sealy, Simmons or Spring Air. This recall involves IKEA Sultan Heidal spring mattresses sold in sizes twin, full, queen and king. Mattresses included in this recall are date stamped 0725 through 1014 (YYWW). April 21, 2010 Violation of Federal Mattress Flammability Standard Prompts Recall of Mattress Sets by Tropical Bedding

This recall involves crib and bunkie mattresses and mattress sets (mattresses and mattresses with foundations) in sizes twin, full, queen and king. The crib and bunkie mattresses do not have any labels. The other mattresses have “Classics,” “Classics II,” “Imagine,” “Sweet Mysteries,” “Treasures,” or “Comfort Dream” printed on a label located at the top of the foot of the mattress. The “Classics” model manufactured between August 2008 and April 2009 is not included in this recall.
