September 30, 2014 Husqvarna Recalls Craftsman Push Mowers Due to Injury Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Orchard Supply Hardware (Recall Alert)

This recall involves Craftsman 3-in-1 high-wheel, gas-powered, push mowers equipped with Honda GCV160 engines and a 21-inch deck. The mowers have a black engine control/bail lever, engine shroud and deck with 12-inch rear wheels and a gray cloth clipping bag. The Craftsman logo and "GCV 160" are on the top front of the engine shroud. "Honda" is on the top of the pull cord housing cover. The Craftsman logo is also stamped into the rear discharge chute cover and printed on the sides of the clipping bag. "Dust Blocker" and "EZ Empty Bag" are printed on the top of the clipping bag. The first six numerals of the serial number are the manufacture date in the MMDDYY format. The recalled mowers were manufactured between April 2014 (04xx14) and June 2014 (06xx14). The serial number and model number 384531 are on the data plate on the rear of the mowing deck. Read more.

September 25, 2014 Shivvers Recalls Country Clipper Riding Lawn Mowers Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves model year 2012, 2013 and 2014 Country Clipper riding lawn mowers. The recalled mowers are equipped with 27-horsepower Kohler Command CV740 or Kohler Courage SV740 twin cylinder engines. The Command engine is dark gray and has the name and model number on a label on the side of the engine near the air filter. The Courage engine has a black engine shroud and has the name and model number on the top of the shroud. The recalled mowers are steered by either a joystick or two steering arms. The recalled mowers were manufactured from October 2011 to May 2014 and include the model names Challenger, Charger, Edge, Jazee, Jazee Pro and Jazee Pro DLX. September 3, 2014 iDevices Recalls Temperature Probes Due to Ingestion Hazard

This recall involves all Pro Ambient Temperature Probes and Pro Meat Probes manufactured from May 2014 through June 2014. The probes were sold separately as an accessory for the iGrill, iGrill2, iGrillmini grilling thermometers and the Kitchen Thermometer and Kitchen Thermometer mini cooking thermometers. The meat probe was also sold as a component of the iGrill2 set. The probes consist of a curved stainless steel rod attached to a mini connector by a steel braided cable. Pro Ambient Temperature probes are about 6 inches long with a metal grate clip on the end. Pro Meat Probes are about 6 3/4 inches long. iGrill Pro Meat Probes and iGrill Pro Ambient Probes came with either a red or yellow rubber sleeve and an oval black plastic cord holder. Kitchen Thermometer Pro Meat Probes and Kitchen Thermometer Pro Ambient Probes came with a green rubber sleeve and a round white plastic cord holder. The iDevices logo is stamped into the top of the cord holder. Recalled probes have only two indentations, or crimps, in the base of the probe tube where attached to the braided cable. iGrill Pro Meat Probes and iGrill Pro Ambient Probes came in red packaging. Kitchen Thermometer Pro Meat Probes and Kitchen Thermometer Pro Ambient Probes came in green packaging. The iDevices name and logo and either "iGrill Pro Meat Probe," "iGrill Pro Ambient Temperature Probe," "Kitchen Thermometer Pro Meat Probe" or "Kitchen Thermometer Pro Ambient Probe" are printed on the front of the packaging. July 15, 2014 Halco Recalls LED Bulbs Due to Risk of Injury and Burn Hazards

This recall involves 14 Halco LED bulb models used in recessed lights, as outdoor security lighting and in retail displays. The bulbs have a metal cone-shaped housing, are silver in color, either 14 or 18 watts, and have clusters of 6 to 16 LEDs. "ProLED" is printed on a label on the plastic housing of the bulb along with model numbers, product names, and date codes. The PAR30 bulbs measure about 4.75 inches long and 3.75 inches wide. The PAR38 bulbs measure about 4.75 inches long and 4.75 inches wide. July 2, 2014 All Power America Recalls Snow Throwers Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves All Power brand single stage snow throwers. The snow throwers are black and yellow and have a red cap on the gas tank. They have a 20-inch wide snow clearing width and an 87cc, 4-cycle engine. The model number of the recalled snow throwers is SB044P which is printed on a yellow and black sticker located on the top of the unit with the phrase "20 Inch Clearing Width." Read more.

May 15, 2014 Exmark Recalls Quest ZRT Riding Mowers Due to Loss of Steering Control and Crash Hazard

This recall involves 2009 and 2010 model year Exmark Quest ZRT mid-mount riding mowers. The mowers are red and gray. Exmark is printed on the side and Quest is printed on the front of the riding mowers. The model and serial numbers are on a metal plate behind the seat on the left hand side. May 9, 2014 Coleman Recalls Northstar Lanterns Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves Northstar® liquid fuel lanterns with model number 2000B750 and date codes 10 13 or 11 13. The model number is printed on the base of the lantern, under the lighting instructions. The date code is stamped on the underside of the lantern. A Coleman logo sticker is affixed to the front of the lantern base. The green lanterns measure about 13" tall by 7" wide by 7" deep. May 1, 2014 Altria Group Distribution Company Recalls Flashlight Due to Burn, Injury Hazards; Distributed Exclusively through Marlboro Promotion (Recall Alert)

The recalled product is a bronze-colored 3-in-1 flashlight that was distributed as a promotional item for Marlboro brand cigarettes. The flashlight is 4.5 inches long and 1 inch in diameter and has five LED lights. It has a compartment for storing matches and an end cap that has compass in the top. The cap with the compass has a striker pad on the inside. It came with 20 wooden matches and a removable foam insert between the matches and the striker pad. Read more.

April 24, 2014 Ariens Recalls Snow Throwers and Power Brushes Due to Amputation and Laceration Hazards

This recall involves Ariens and Sno-Tek brand snow throwers and Ariens and Gravely brand power brushes. Ariens Compact and Compack Track Snow-Thro snow throwers included in the recall are orange and 22 to 24 inches wide. Sno-Tek model snow throwers included in the recall are black and 20 to 28 inches wide. Power brushes included in the recall are Ariens and Gravely model PB-28 All Season Brush and Ariens 28-inch brush CE. The Ariens power brush was sold in orange and the Gravely in red. The snow throwers and power brushes have the Ariens, Sno-Tek or Gravely brand name printed on the product. For all recalled units, model and serial numbers are printed on a white label affixed to the lower rear of the product, near the wheel. April 22, 2014 Remington Electric Leaf Blowers Recalled by MTD Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves Remington electric leaf blowers with model RM180B, item number 41AA180G983 and serial numbers ranging from S1E131XK0001 through S1E162XK2008. They were manufactured between May 13, 2011 and May 16, 2012. The third through sixth characters of the serial number identify the manufacturing date. The third character is the month, for example D for April, E for May and F for June. The fourth and fifth characters are the day of the month. The sixth character is the last digit of the year of manufacture. Model, item and serial number are located on a white label on the bottom of motor housing. The 7.5 amp electric blowers are black. Remington, Mighty Sweep and RM180B appear on a sticker on both sides of the unit. Read more.
