October 28, 2014 Meijer Recalls Halloween Projector Flashlight Due to Burn Hazard

This recall involves a Signature Designs Halloween image projector. The projector is a flashlight with cap that holds special lenses to project messages and images onto a wall or other surfaces. The flashlight handle is black with the word Halloween and pictures of a skull and a jack o' lantern printed in white. The handle is about 7 inches long and holds two size C batteries. The cap is orange and is about 3 inches high and about 2 inches in diameter. The projector comes with three lenses: an orange lens with a black jack o' lantern, a yellow lens with a black bat and a purple lens with the words "Trick or Treat" in black. A clear label with "Signature Designs (HK) Ltd, Ningbo, China, 14-121-02, 05/2014" printed in white is on the side of the handle opposite the orange on/off switch. Read more.

October 16, 2014 Briggs & Stratton Recalls Snapper Rear Engine Riding Mowers Due to Injury Hazard (Recall Alert)

This recall involves six models of Briggs and Stratton Snapper Rear Engine Riding Mowers. The mowers are red with a black fuel tank, steering wheel and seat. The name Snapper is printed on both sides of the mower. The model and serial numbers are on a label on the engine platform under the right side of the seat. October 8, 2014 Fiskars Recalls Bypass Lopper Shears Due to Laceration Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Home Depot

This recall involves Fiskars Titanium Bypass Lopper shears with model number 6954. The lopper shears have 32-inch dark orange steel handles and black rubber grips with a gray strip. Plastic gears connected to the pruning blades allow the consumers to open and close the pruning blades by moving the handles. "FISKARS" is printed on one handle and product identification information, including model number 6954, is printed on a label on the opposite handle above the barcode. Read more.

September 30, 2014 Husqvarna Recalls Craftsman Push Mowers Due to Injury Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Orchard Supply Hardware (Recall Alert)

This recall involves Craftsman 3-in-1 high-wheel, gas-powered, push mowers equipped with Honda GCV160 engines and a 21-inch deck. The mowers have a black engine control/bail lever, engine shroud and deck with 12-inch rear wheels and a gray cloth clipping bag. The Craftsman logo and "GCV 160" are on the top front of the engine shroud. "Honda" is on the top of the pull cord housing cover. The Craftsman logo is also stamped into the rear discharge chute cover and printed on the sides of the clipping bag. "Dust Blocker" and "EZ Empty Bag" are printed on the top of the clipping bag. The first six numerals of the serial number are the manufacture date in the MMDDYY format. The recalled mowers were manufactured between April 2014 (04xx14) and June 2014 (06xx14). The serial number and model number 384531 are on the data plate on the rear of the mowing deck. Read more.

September 25, 2014 Shivvers Recalls Country Clipper Riding Lawn Mowers Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves model year 2012, 2013 and 2014 Country Clipper riding lawn mowers. The recalled mowers are equipped with 27-horsepower Kohler Command CV740 or Kohler Courage SV740 twin cylinder engines. The Command engine is dark gray and has the name and model number on a label on the side of the engine near the air filter. The Courage engine has a black engine shroud and has the name and model number on the top of the shroud. The recalled mowers are steered by either a joystick or two steering arms. The recalled mowers were manufactured from October 2011 to May 2014 and include the model names Challenger, Charger, Edge, Jazee, Jazee Pro and Jazee Pro DLX. September 3, 2014 iDevices Recalls Temperature Probes Due to Ingestion Hazard

This recall involves all Pro Ambient Temperature Probes and Pro Meat Probes manufactured from May 2014 through June 2014. The probes were sold separately as an accessory for the iGrill, iGrill2, iGrillmini grilling thermometers and the Kitchen Thermometer and Kitchen Thermometer mini cooking thermometers. The meat probe was also sold as a component of the iGrill2 set. The probes consist of a curved stainless steel rod attached to a mini connector by a steel braided cable. Pro Ambient Temperature probes are about 6 inches long with a metal grate clip on the end. Pro Meat Probes are about 6 3/4 inches long. iGrill Pro Meat Probes and iGrill Pro Ambient Probes came with either a red or yellow rubber sleeve and an oval black plastic cord holder. Kitchen Thermometer Pro Meat Probes and Kitchen Thermometer Pro Ambient Probes came with a green rubber sleeve and a round white plastic cord holder. The iDevices logo is stamped into the top of the cord holder. Recalled probes have only two indentations, or crimps, in the base of the probe tube where attached to the braided cable. iGrill Pro Meat Probes and iGrill Pro Ambient Probes came in red packaging. July 15, 2014 Halco Recalls LED Bulbs Due to Risk of Injury and Burn Hazards

This recall involves 14 Halco LED bulb models used in recessed lights, as outdoor security lighting and in retail displays. The bulbs have a metal cone-shaped housing, are silver in color, either 14 or 18 watts, and have clusters of 6 to 16 LEDs. "ProLED" is printed on a label on the plastic housing of the bulb along with model numbers, product names, and date codes. The PAR30 bulbs measure about 4.75 inches long and 3.75 inches wide. The PAR38 bulbs measure about 4.75 inches long and 4.75 inches wide. This recall involves All Power brand single stage snow throwers. The snow throwers are black and yellow and have a red cap on the gas tank. They have a 20-inch wide snow clearing width and an 87cc, 4-cycle engine. The model number of the recalled snow throwers is SB044P which is printed on a yellow and black sticker located on the top of the unit with the phrase "20 Inch Clearing Width." Read more.

May 9, 2014 Coleman Recalls Northstar Lanterns Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves Northstar® liquid fuel lanterns with model number 2000B750 and date codes 10 13 or 11 13. The model number is printed on the base of the lantern, under the lighting instructions. The date code is stamped on the underside of the lantern. A Coleman logo sticker is affixed to the front of the lantern base. The green lanterns measure about 13" tall by 7" wide by 7" deep.
