November 2, 2016 Trek Recalls Farley Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves model year 2014 Trek Farley bicycles and framesets and 2015 Trek Farley 6 bicycles and framesets. The 2014 Trek Farley is black with green decals with an aluminum frame and fork. The 2014 frameset is sky blue with orange decals. The 2015 Trek Farley 6 is black with blue decals with an aluminum frame and fork. Both bicycle models were sold in 14.5 through 21.5 inch sizes. November 2, 2016 Running Trainer Recalls Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Run4.com (Recall Alert)

This recall involves the Gen 2 Bionic Runner bicycles that mimic running motion. The bicycles are black and have red pedals and red trim around the wheels. The bicycles have a folding frame and "BIONIC RUNNER" is printed in white on the side of the stirrups. Read more.


November 1, 2016 Fox Factory Recalls Mountain Bike Shock Absorbers Due to Fall and Injury Hazards

This recall involves all model year 2016 and some 2017 FLOAT X2 bicycle rear shock absorbers sold both individually and installed on YT, Giant, Pivot, Intense, Ibis, Scott, Trek, GT, Knolly, Norco, Rocky Mountain, Diamondback, Morpheus, Foes Racing, Orbea and Canyon full-suspension mountain bikes and frames. The solid black or black and gold FLOAT X2 shocks have an air sleeve construction. FLOAT X2 is printed on the external reservoir connected to the blue compression and red rebound adjusters that have X2 and RVS laser etched on them. October 3, 2016 Glion Electric Scooters Recalled by Probity Cell Due to Fall Hazard (Recall Alert)

This recall involves the Glion SmartScooter Model 100. The foldable electric scooters are aluminum and come in black or white. The scooters are powered by lithium-ion batteries and have a kickstand, two tires and a USB phone charger. "GLION" is printed on the standing board of the scooter. The scooters measure about 38 inches long and 5.5 inches wide and 45 inches tall when unfolded. Read more.


July 6, 2016 Razor Recalls Self-Balancing Scooters/Hoverboards Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves non-UL certified Hovertrax brand self-balancing scooters, commonly referred to as hoverboards. Hovertrax hoverboards have two wheels at either end of articulated dual platforms and are powered by lithium-ion battery packs. The recalled Hovertrax brand hoverboards have serial numbers beginning with 55X120-01, 55X120-02, 55X110-01, 55X110-02 and 55X230-01. April 13, 2016 Rollerblade USA Recalls Helmets Due to Head Injury Hazard

This recall involves black Rollerblade brand Maxxum helmets. "Rollerblade" is printed on the side of the helmet, a white inline skate logo is printed on the back of the helmet and a label on the inside of the helmet contains the model number "YJ-219" and production date of October 2014 or earlier. The SKU number 06520210100 is printed on the helmet's box. Read more.


March 25, 2016 Specialized Bicycle Components Recalls Headlights and Taillights Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

The recall includes Specialized Flux and Stix Sport and Comp model bicycle headlights and taillights sold separately as aftermarket equipment. They have rechargeable batteries with USB ports. Flux headlights: Flux headlights have a round, metal mounting system that fits both flat and drop handlebars. "Flux" is printed on the side of the black, rectangular-shaped lights and on the bottom of the pewter-colored aluminum casing. Flux taillights: Flux taillights have a pewter-colored base with a 110-lumen light on the top. They mount on 27.2 mm, 30.9 mm and Venge seat posts. The Specialized logo is printed on top of the taillights. They have a sensor to boost output in flash mode during the daytime. Stix headlights: Stix headlights are black with a 70-lumen light (Stix Sport) or a 105-lumen light (Stix Comp). They mount on handlebars between 22.2 mm and 35 mm in diameter. March 18, 2016 RacerMate Recalls CompuTrainer Blue Flywheels Due to Risk of Injury

This recall involves blue CompuTrainer Flywheels manufactured before 2008. The CompuTrainer Flywheels are used to make bicycles stationary for indoor training. The blue flywheel is a die casting made of zinc. It measures 4.75 inches in diameter and weighs 1.1 pounds. Flywheels manufactured after 2008 are silver in color, and are not included in this recall. March 16, 2016 SRAM Recalls Zipp Bicycle Wheel Hubs Due to Crash and Injury Hazards

This recall includes SRAM's Zipp bicycle wheel hubs. The model names of the affected hubs are ZIPP 88v6, 88v7 and 88v8. The Z logo is printed on the hub. The wheel hubs come in black, silver and falcon grey. The diameter of the clinch nut is approximately 1.46 inches. Some of the hubs were sold as part of wheel sets installed on new bicycles.
