February 26, 2009 Salsa Bicycles Recalls Bicycles; Handlebar Stems Can Break Causing Rider to Fall

This recall involves all CroMoto S.U.L. stems sold as individual aftermarket units and on these models of complete Salsa bicycles: Ala Carte, El Mariachi, Casseroll Triple, Casseroll Single and La Cruz. The aftermarket stems are black and have the word “Salsa” painted on the extension. The complete bike stems are painted to match the bike model color and have the word “Salsa” painted on the extension. The recalled stems range from 75 through 105-degree rise and extension length from 90 to 120mm. February 10, 2009 Marzocchi Recalls Bicycle Forks Due to Crash Hazard and Risk of Injury during Repair

February 4, 2009 Bicycles with R-SYS Wheel Rims Recalled by Mavic USA Due to Crash Hazard

This recall includes R-SYS and R-SYS Premium front wheel rims. They were sold as original equipment on various bicycle brands and were also sold separately. R-SYS wheel rims are designed for road bikes. “R-SYS” is printed on the front rim of the wheels. The rims are 22mm in diameter, with 16 tubular, unidirectional carbon spokes. Read more.


January 22, 2009 Saris Cycling Group Recalls Stationary Bicycle Trainers Due to Fall Hazard

The recalled trainers are a stationary frame that allows bicycles to be converted into stationary bicycles. The recalled models include: CycleOps Pro Series Trainer models 9014 (SuperMagneto Pro), 9331 (JetFluid Pro), 9460 (PowerBeam Pro), 9321 (JetFluid Pro Winter Training Kit), and 9322 (SuperMagneto Pro Winter Training Kit) without the secondary locking pin. January 14, 2009 Giant Bicycle, Inc. Recalls Bicycles; Fork Can Break Causing Rider To Fall

This recall involves 2009 TCR Advanced SL Team, SL 0, SL 1, SL 2, and SL (ISP) model bicycles and frames in silver, charcoal, blue and red. The words “Giant” and “TCR Advanced SL” are printed on the frame. Steerer tubes with “B”, “N” or “P” at the end of the serial number are not included in this recall. January 6, 2009 Bicycles with RockShox Bicycle Forks Recalled by SRAM LLC Due to Crash Hazard

The recall involves RockShox Domain 302 and 318 bicycle forks with steel steerer sold for installation on new bicycles. Only those forks manufactured between March 2008 and October 2008 with dates codes 09T8 through 42T8 are included in this recall. The date code is located on the back of the fork crown and on the lower leg. The RockShox Domain fork was installed on Transition Bottle Rocket bicycles, and may have been installed on Rocky Mountain Flatline 1, Rocky Mountain Slayer SS350, and Rocky Mountain Slayer SS396 bicycles.
