July 15, 2008 Bench Scale Adapters Recalled by American Weigh Scales Due to Fire Hazard

The recalled bench adapters are silver colored. “MINI CHARGER” is printed on the back of the adapter. When plugged in a red light shines through a blue plastic piece on the outer side of the adapter. “AC Adapter” is printed on a white label on the inner side. The adapters are used with bench scale model AMW-13, AMW-1000, AMW-2000, and AMW-500i. Read more.



May 27, 2008 Batting Helmets Recalled by Rawlings Sporting Goods Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

This recall involves junior batting helmets with model number CFHLJR. The helmets come in yellow and orange with black accents. The model number can be found on the rear of the helmet. Read more.


April 22, 2008 Nashbar Direct Inc. Recalls Bicycle Resistance Trainers Due to Puncture Hazard

The recalled trainers are folding stands that lift and apply resistance to the rear wheel of a standard bike, converting the bike into a stationary trainer. The recall includes Travel Trac Gravity Inertial Trainers (catalog # NB-TTMIF) with a looping black base with two red support arms. Travel Trac is printed in white on the right support arm and Millennium is printed in white on the left arm. Inertial is printed on the top of the right arm in black with a white border. The resistance unit has a rounded black plastic cover with a soft red elastomer roller. The item number is also printed on the bottom of the last page of the owner’s manual. Read more.


April 22, 2008 Performance Inc. Recalls Bicycle Resistance Trainers Due to Puncture Hazard

The recalled trainers are folding stands that lift and apply resistance to the rear wheel of a standard bike, converting the bike into a stationary trainer. There are three Travel Trac (TT) models included in the recall. The TT Inertial and TT I-Force Wireless use the same stand, with a looping black base and two red bike support arms. Along the right arm is Travel Trac printed in white. “Millennium” is printed along the left arm of the stand on a vertical white decal. TT Inertial and I-Force Wireless have black horizontal decals. The TT Millennium I-Force has a collapsible black stand with Travel Trac and I-Force vertical white decals and Inertial in small red letters. February 7, 2008 Trek Recalls Girls Bicycles Due To Frame Failure

This recall involves Trek girls’ bicycles model MT220 and model years 2005 (light metallic blue), 2006 (metallic silver and metallic purple or pink and pearl white), and 2007 (pink and white pearl or metallic purple). January 8, 2008 Pacific Cycle Recalls Children's Trailer Bicycles; Can Detach from Adult Bicycle and Injure Children

The "Pathfinder,” “Run About,” and “Alley Cat” are single-wheeled, children’s bicycles that connect to an adult’s bicycle by a coupler. The recall includes model numbers: 12-PF250, 13-SC250, 13-SC350 and M5101. The model number is located on the lower seat tube of the frame. December 18, 2007 Bicycle Helmets Recalled by Specialized Due to Failing Helmet Standard

December 5, 2007 Bell Racing Recalls Collectible Mini Racing Helmets Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The recalled products are six-inch tall, collectible, miniature helmets, modeled after helmets worn by several race car drivers. The follow models are included in the recall: Terry Borcheller helmet, part number 2005740; Kurt Busch helmet, part number 2001368; and Vitor Meira helmet, part number 2001381.
