October 23, 2007 Reynolds Recalls Bicycle Forks Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves the Reynolds UL bicycle fork models with 43 mm and 50 mm rakes and with serial numbers 09100 through 10403. The serial number decal is located on the steer tube. To see the serial number, the fork must be removed from the frame. Some recalled forks are black, have “Reynolds” printed on them, and have a gray and white stripe painted on the legs of the fork. Other recalled forks were painted with a different paint scheme and do not have “Reynolds” printed on them. To determine if a fork is included in this recall, consumers should contact the company. October 16, 2007 Procycle Group Inc. Recalls Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves the Rocky Mountain Bicycles brand of Solo bicycles. The models included in this recall are: 2006 SOLO CR50, 2006 SOLO CR70, and 2007 SOLO CR LTD. The bicycles have a full carbon Columbus frame. “Rocky Mountain” and “Solo” are printed on the head tube. Read more.


October 16, 2007 Huffy Recalls Bicycles Due To Cranks Falling Off; Riders Can Lose Control of Bike

The recall involves 2007 model year, multi-speed bicycles with 26-inch, 24-inch or 20-inch wheels. The “Howler” was sold in black (model K3587, boy’s model), blue (model K4587, men’s model), and red (model K6587, men’s model). The “Highland” was sold in white (model K4597, women’s model) and blue (model K6597, women’s model). The name "Howler" or "Highland" is printed on the frame of the bicycle, and the name "Huffy" is on the front of the frame. October 16, 2007 Formula Brake USA Recalls Disc Brakes for Bicycles Due to Risk of Failure

This recall involves Oro disk brakes typically installed on mountain bikes. The brake is operated by a hand lever, which is mounted to the handlebar. Included in the recall are the Oro K18, Oro K24, Oro Puro and Oro Bianco models with serial numbers less than 295237. The serial number can be located on the brake’s body above the “Made in Italy” label. Read more.


October 11, 2007 Riddell Recalls Collectible Mini Racing Helmets Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The recalled product is a six-inch tall, collectible, miniature helmet, modeled after the helmet worn by race car driver Jeff Gordon. The helmet is red and blue with a black visor, and is painted with various sponsor logos and playing cards. The UPC number 095855720029 is located on the bottom of the product’s packaging. The recall involves Model E300 Electric Scooters, which are powered by battery-operated motors. The model number appears on the tube that connects the head tube to the deck. The recalled scooters are blue or silver. This recall includes only products with barcodes beginning in 100620-03 through -09.
