November 19, 2009 Salomon USA Recalls Ski Bindings Due to Unexpected Release, Fall Hazard

This recall involves the Salomon alpine ski bindings with models LZ 7, LZ 8, LZ 9, LZ 7 SR, LZ 8 SR, LZ 8 SC, and J LZ 9 and the Atomic ski bindings with model Evox 2.8, Evox 2.8+, Evox 2.8++, and FFG 8. “Salomon” or “Atomic” and the respective model number are displayed on the ski bindings. The toe components bear a production date code ending in “8” that can be found on the center plate where the toe of a ski boot contacts the toe component of the bindings. Read more.


November 18, 2009 Baby Hammocks Recalled by Three Sisters Toys Due to Fall and Strangulation Hazards

The recalled baby hammock is a cream-colored canvas and hangs from a wooden pole. The hammock measures about 29 x 43 inches. It has three restraint straps with red buckles and is attached to a cushioned pad for the infant. A mounting fixture, also called a fixing set, is sold with the hammock. “La Siesta” is printed on a tag located below the restraint straps. Model number YABN-1 is printed on a white tag sewn into the hammock’s side seam. Read more.


November 18, 2009 Gorilla Inc. Recalls EXO-Tech Safety Harness Due to Fall Hazard

This safety harness, used as a fall restraint for hunting, is comprised of two leg straps and two shoulder straps, which connect to a waist belt and padded back support. There is a long, black tether strap at the top rear of the safety harness, which has grey and red accents. The name EXO-Tech is located on the right front shoulder strap and the name Gorilla is located on the left front should strap both in white lettering. Similar to a shirt tag, there is a white manufacturing label on the inside of the back of the harness with the model number 45111 and manufacturing dates, 4/22/2009 or 6/26/2009. November 12, 2009 Bicycles Recalled by Easton Sports; Stem Failure Poses Fall Hazard

This recall involves bicycles with EA30 stems. The EA30 stems are black with white-and-gray graphics and feature a four-bolt stem face cap. “EA30” is printed on the stem. EA30 stems sold as aftermarket items are included in this recall. Read more.


November 12, 2009 Treestands Recalled by Gander Mountain Company Due to Fall Hazard

Gander Mountain is recalling the 2008 model GMT101 and 2008 model GMT103 Hang-On Fixed Position Treestands. The recalled treestands have wire mesh on the base of the platform to the top of the footrest and a Gander Mountain logo on the front of the seat. In addition, the seat has a camouflage pattern that is branded “AP” and “REALTREE”. Model GMT101 has “Steel Hang-On With Foot Rest” printed in large bold print on the exterior of the box and the GMT103 has “Large Steel Hang-On With Foot Rest” printed on the exterior of the box. This recall does not affect the 2009 year models GMT101 and GMT103 Hang-On Fixed Position Treestands manufactured by Rivers Edge. Read more.


November 5, 2009 Adventure Playsets Recall to Repair Backyard Swing Sets Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves wooden play sets with swings, slides and ladders. Each set has an overhead monkey bar ladder that acts as both the monkey bar and swing beam, and an end ladder coated with cranberry or green plastic. The instruction manual has the name “Adventure Playsets” and one of the following model numbers printed on the cover. Read more.

The recall involves Model Year 2009 Arctic Cat Z1 Turbo, Z1 Turbo Sno Pro and TZ1 Turbo model snowmobiles. The model name and number are displayed on the side of vehicle and in the registration materials/owner’s manual. Read more.


October 21, 2009 Off-Road Utility Vehicles Recalled by Bad Boy Enterprises Due To Crash Hazard

This recall involves Bad Boy Buggy Standard model off-road utility vehicles. The Bad Boy Buggy Standard model has one row seat that allows two persons (the driver and passenger) to sit side-by-side while the vehicle is operated. The Standard has an open air design (no doors or windows), but has a roof. The Bad Boy Buggy Standard models come in Realtree camouflage pattern, Hardwoods camouflage pattern, hunter green, red and black colors. The affected models have serial numbers between 85004828 and 95010404. The serial number is located on a sticker in a cubby on the driver’s side. Read more.
