November 1, 2018 Black & Decker Recalls Hammer Drills Due to Injury Hazard

This recall involves side handles supplied with Porter-Cable brand model PC70THD ½ Inch VSR 2-Speed Hammer Drills, Black & Decker brand model DR560 ½ Inch Drill/Drivers, and Bostitch brand models BTE140 and BTE141 ½ Inch Hammer Drills. The side handles are black plastic and attach to the drill to help provide stability. The Porter-Cable hammer drills are gray with red accents, the Black & Decker drill/drivers are orange with black accents, and the Bostich hammer drills are yellow with black accents. October 18, 2018 Hydrolevel Recalls Controllers for Slant/Fin Boilers Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves the Hydrolevel HydroStat Model 3000 boiler controller which is a black rectangular control unit for residential Slant/Fin VSPH boilers. The unit has six small LED lights and the word 'Hydrostat' on the front. The controller says HydroStat on the front and HydroStat Model 3000 on the back. Read more.

October 10, 2018 Briggs & Stratton Recalls Portable Generator Fuel Tank Replacement Caps, Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves model B4363GS fuel tank replacement caps made by Kelch/Bemis for Briggs & Stratton portable generators that use a plastic non-vented fuel tank. The fuel tank replacement caps are black and are missing the vent within the clear lens covering the fuel gauge. The fuel caps can be identified by visually inspecting the clear lens for a vent hole towards the bottom of the gauge. The caps are about 2.5 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches in width. Two 5.5 inch metal rods extend from the bottom of the caps to support a float that moves the needle in the fuel gauge. The fuel tank replacement caps have KELCH stamped into the bottom of the cap. September 11, 2018 Emerson Tool Company Recalls RIDGID Wet/Dry Vacuums Due to Shock Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Home Depot

This recall involves RIDGID NXT wet/dry vacuums, models HD06000 (6-gallon) and HD09000 (9-gallon). The orange and black wet/dry vacuum has four swivel casters, a carrying handle, a hose and accessories. RIDGID is printed on the front of the vacuum. The model number can be found on a silver product identification label on the back of the vacuum's powerhead assembly. Read more.

August 22, 2018 Vornado Air Reannounces Recall of Electric Space Heaters Following Report of Death; Fire and Burn Hazards

This recall involves Vornado VH101 Personal Vortex electric space heaters sold in the following colors: black, coral orange, grayed jade, cinnamon, fig, ice white and red. The heaters measure about 7.2 inches long by 7.8 inches wide by 7.10 inches high and have two heat settings (low and high) and a fan only/no heat setting. "Vornado" with a "V" behind it is printed on the front of the unit. The model/type "VH101," serial number and ETL mark are printed on a silver rating label on the bottom of the unit. Read more.

June 20, 2018 Werner Recalls Aluminum Ladders Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves five models of aluminum telescoping ladders that can be used in five different positions (twin step ladder, stairway step ladder, extension ladder, wall ladder and as two scaffold bases). The date code is stamped on the inside of the outer leg of the ladder, beneath the bottom step. The model number is printed on a label located on the side of the ladder rail. The recalled ladders have a load capacity of 375 lbs. June 5, 2018 Keyera Energy Recalls to Inspect Propane Gas Due to Fire and Explosion Hazards

This recall involves under-odorized propane (LP) gas delivered to consumers for use in storage tanks or sold at retail locations in portable refillable cylinders (for use in recreational vehicles, barbeques, stoves and other appliances). The LP gas was also sold to businesses for commercial and industrial use. Keyera Energy Inc. does not sell propane directly to any retailers or consumers, but supplies propane to distributors that sell directly to retailers and consumers. Read more.

May 23, 2018 Kohler Recalls Automatic Transfer Switches for Kohler Generators Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves Kohler 100-amp service entrance rated automatic transfer switches used with Kohler brand residential and commercial generators. "Kohler" is printed on the outside panel. This recall involves NY Thermal (NTI) manufactured gas boilers sold under the Trinity Tft and Slant/Fin CHS brand names used for residential and commercial use. The Trinity Tft models have the name "NTI" printed on the front and were sold in metallic-grey. The Trinity Tft60 through Tft250 model boilers measure 33 inches tall by 20 inches wide. The Trinity Tft300 through Tft399 model boilers measure 36 inches tall and 25 inches wide. The Slant/Fin CHS models have the name "Slant/Fin" and "CHS" printed across the front bottom and were sold in white. The Slant/Fin CHS-85 through CHS-250 model boilers measure 33 inches tall by 20 inches wide. The Slant/Fin CHS-300 through CHS-399 model boilers measure 36 inches tall and 25 inches wide.
