December 7, 2017 Westinghouse Portable Generators Recalled by MWE Investments Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves Westinghouse iGen2500 and iPro2500 portable inverter generators used to power appliances, cell phones or other electronic devices. The iGen2500 has a bright blue plastic cover and has "Westinghouse iGen2500" printed in white lettering on the side and on the front of the generator. The Westinghouse iPro2500 has a plastic gray cover. "Westinghouse iPro2500" is printed in white lettering on the side and front of the generator. The number of watts is also printed on the side. It reads 2200 Running Watts and 2500 Peak Watts. The generators measure about 20 inches long by 18 wide inches by 11 inches tall. They weigh about 49 pounds. Read more.


November 21, 2017 Plycem Recalls Allura Decking Due to Fall and Injury Hazards

The recall involves Allura™ fiber cement decking and fascia. The recalled decking was sold in 12-foot lengths and is 6 inches wide and one inch thick, and came in two styles: a hidden fastener application and a direct screw application. The recalled Allura™ fiber cement fascia, which was for vertical applications only, was sold in 12-foot lengths, is 8- and 12-inches wide and 7/16 inches thick. The decking and fascia were sold in a natural wood color with a wood grain texture. There are no labels or other identifying marks on the decking materials. Read more.


November 2, 2017 Kidde Recalls Fire Extinguishers with Plastic Handles Due to Failure to Discharge and Nozzle Detachment: One Death Reported

This recall involves two styles of Kidde fire extinguishers: plastic handle fire extinguishers and push-button Pindicator fire extinguishers. Plastic handle fire extinguishers: The recall involves 134 models of Kidde fire extinguishers manufactured between January 1, 1973 and August 15, 2017, including models that were previously recalled in March 2009 and February 2015. The extinguishers were sold in red, white and silver, and are either ABC- or BC-rated. The model number is printed on the fire extinguisher label. For units produced in 2007 and beyond, the date of manufacture is a 10-digit date code printed on the side of the cylinder, near the bottom. Digits five through nine represent the day and year of manufacture in DDDYY format. Date codes for recalled models manufactured from January 2, 2012 through August 15, 2017 are 00212 through 22717. For units produced before 2007, a date code is not printed on the fire extinguisher. October 10, 2017 Outlet Converters Recalled by Ningbo Litesun Electric with Home Depot Due to Shock and Fire Hazards

This recall involves commercial electric 15-amp triplex outlet converters, also known as taps, with model number LA-05 and UPC 818897010121. The white plastic converters convert a single electrical outlet into three outlets with an outlet plug on the left, front and right side of the tap. The outlet taps measure 1.7 inches tall by 1.3 inches wide by 1.69 inches deep. On the front facing outlet, neutral and line (power socket) sizes are reversed. The model number is printed on the mold on the side that the prongs are located and the UPC number is printed on a sticker on the top of the converter along with the UL listing. Read more.


August 30, 2017 Dr. Brown's Natural Bottle & Dish Soaps Recalled by Handi-Craft Company Due to Risk of Bacteria Exposure

This recall involves Dr. Brown's Natural Bottle & Dish Soap sold separately and with Dr. Brown's bottle brush as a bottle cleaning kit. The soap bottles were sold in two sizes: a clear plastic 16-ounce bottle with a pump and a 4-ounce clear squeeze bottle. A label affixed to the front of the bottles read "Dr. Brown's natural bottle & dish soap" and "100% plant-based ingredients." Read more.


August 8, 2017 NVIDIA Recalls European Plug Heads Sold with Power Adaptors Due to Electric Shock Hazard

This recall involves European plug heads for power adaptors included with NVIDIA SHIELD™ World Charger Kits, as well as with NVIDIA SHIELD tablet computers and TVs intended for use in Europe. The European plug head has two thin round metal prongs within a black plastic hexagonal extender on a black plastic base plate that can be attached to the power adaptor. The power adaptor has the model number SPA011AU5W2 and the NVIDIA name and logo etched on the side of the power adaptor where the European plug head can be attached. There are six different plug heads that come with the World Charger Kit. Only the European plug head is being recalled. Read more.


August 7, 2017 Firewood Recalls Vaporizers Due to Fire Hazard (Recall Alert)

This recall involves all Firewood 4 vaporizers. The vaporizers measure 2 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches tall by 7/8 inches thick and have a sliding battery compartment cover. The body and battery cover of the vaporizers are wooden and were sold finished or unfinished. The Firewood logo is printed on the bottom of the vaporizers. Read more.


July 28, 2017 Nestlé Waters North America Recalls AccuPure Water Dispensers Due to Fire and Burn Hazards (Recall Alert)

This recall involves Nestlé Waters AccuPure floor-standing filtration dispenser with model number HB215-3G (black) and model number HW215-3G (white). They measure 44.6 inches tall by 12.5 inches wide. The units connect to the customer location's plumbing system, draw and filter water from the local system, and then dispense the filtered water through the unit. The upper front panels of the units have an "AccuPure" logo and an illuminated clock display. The model number can be found on a white sticker on the back of the dispenser. Read more.

This recall involves Extech digital clamp meters with model numbers EX650, EX655, MA160, MA61, and MA63. These models are all AC/DC clamp meters, which are electrical testing devices that measure AC/DC voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency, temperature, continuity, and diode. Serial numbers in the following format are included in the recall: R15XXXXXXX to R17XXXXXXX. Only serial numbers in this range are included in the recall.
