Recalls: Indoor Lighting
This recall involves Cree LED T8 Replacement Lamps, including lamps that were provided as free replacements for a previous recall in June 2015 and new lamps sold since the recall. These lamps are used indoors to replace traditional two-pin T8 fluorescent tubes. The white lamps have a cylindrical shape and measure 48 inches long. "Cree," "BT848 Series Lamp," the product number and a four-digit date code are printed on the lamp or on a white label affixed to the lamp. This recall involves the Philips Energy Advantage Ceramic Metal Halide Lamps model CDM330. They are designed as energy efficient replacements for traditional 400W quartz metal halide lamps installed in magnetic ballasts and intended for use in high-ceiling industrial, retail and commercial applications. The lamps were sold in both clear and coated versions. Each lamp includes an etching, located either at the base of the lamp or on the ovoid of the lamps, that displays the relevant date code, along with Philips' name, wattage (330W) and the model (CDM330). The lamps are brush-finished nickel plated and have a dimmer switch. The floor lamp is 49 inches tall, and the table lamps are 14 or 18 inches tall. "Gothem" and the IKEA logo are printed on the label attached to the underside of each lamp base. Read more.
This recall involves Ikea HYBY and LOCK ceiling lamps. The lamps have domed white frosted glass shades and three plastic clips that attach the shade to steel electrical lamp housings. The HYBY has a shade that is 15 inches in diameter and decorated with four opaque concentric lines. The lamp housing holds two light bulbs. The LOCK has a shade that is 10 inches in diameter. The lamp housing holds one light bulb. Type number and the model name of the lamps are on a label attached to the electrical lamp housing. This recall involves Endura 12-watt and Ambient 12.5-watt LED dimmable light bulbs. The bulbs are orange in color and have "MADE IN CHINA," "Fabrique in Chine" followed by a slanted "S," and the model number 9290001829 printed on the gray plastic band on the neck of the bulbs. The date codes, 2L for the Endura bulbs and 2K or 2L for the Ambient bulbs, are printed on the metal screw base. The bulbs give off a white light and are used indoors to replace incandescent bulbs.
