January 5, 2012 Target Recalls LED Flashlight Sets Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

This recall involves 6-pc. LED Flashlight Sets. They are made of silver plastic with black rubber around the handle and light base. The flashlight sets have UPC code 490021010049 printed on the back of the package. They were sold in sets of six, including two small flashlights measuring about 3 inches long, two medium flashlights about 6 inches long and two large flashlights about 7 1/2 inches long. January 3, 2012 Uni-O Industries Recalls O-Grill Portable Gas Grills Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

This recall involves Iroda O-Grill models 1000 and 3000 produced before 2010. Some were also sold under the Tailgating Gear brand. Both models are lightweight, portable, clamshell-type propane grills with steel bodies, cast iron cooking surfaces, retractable legs and a handle. They can be used with either 1-pound propane cylinders or 20-pound propane tanks. The grills come in orange, red, green, blue, silver and black and have the words "O-Grill" stamped on the metal grill cover. Recalled O-Grills do not have ventilation slots in the regulator cover where the propane bottle screws in. Grills with ventilation slots in the regulator cover are not subject to the recall. December 1, 2011 Halloween Projection Flashlights Recalled by Nygala Corp. Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

The black and orange plastic flashlight is 6 ½ inches long and has pumpkins, bats, witches, haunted houses and cats on the handle. The flashlights come with six different plastic lenses that attach to the flashlight to project various images, including a pumpkin, bat, witch, haunted house and cat. The flashlights use two AA batteries. “Flomo,” “HW189” and UPC 677916518266 are printed on the packaging. Read more.


September 29, 2011 Husqvarna Professional Products Recalls RedMax Brushcutter Due to Fire Hazard

The recalled brushcutter / trimmer is a RedMax model TR2350S. Recalled brushcutters have shaft serial numbers ranging from 10215377 to 10625892, and engine serial numbers ranging from 10115390 to 10425910. The product is powered by a 2-cycle gasoline engine and cuts grass or weeds through the use of a spinning black trimmer head containing a spool of filament line. Model number and shaft serial number are located on a label on the shaft halfway between the trimmer head and the engine. The engine serial number is located on the bottom of engine between the two screws that secure fuel tank to the engine. See illustration below. Read more.


September 16, 2011 John Deere Recalls Lawn Tractors Powered by Kawasaki Engines Due to Overheating and Fire Hazards

This recall involves John Deere X300, X300R and X304 Select Series™ Lawn Tractors with Kawasaki FS541V engines manufactured between September 20, 2010 and July 21, 2011 within the following serial number ranges listed below. The model number is on both sides of the tractor hood, and the serial number can be found on the machine frame near the front right tire. Read more.


September 14, 2011 Kubota Recalls Riding Mowers Due to Fire Hazard

The Kubota Riding Mowers are bright orange, have 48-inch, 54-inch, or 60-inch wide mower decks and have “KUBOTA” stamped on either the sides of the front engine cover, or on the right side behind the driver’s seat. The serial number is located on the left front frame for T series models and the right front frame for GR and ZG series models. August 23, 2011 Fiskars Brands Recalls SmartPower String Trimmers Due to Burn, Fire and Laceration Hazards

This recall involves the Fiskars® SmartPower™ Propane 4-Cycle Straight Shaft String Trimmer Model 67016935 and SmartPower™ Propane 4-Cycle Curved Shaft String Trimmer Model 67036946. Both trimmers use propane fuel. "SmartPower™" is printed on the lower shaft and near the pull-start handle. "Fiskars®" is printed on the engine cover and on the plastic cutting guard.
