December 6, 2007 TKS Children's Pants Recalled by Sears; Drawstrings at Waist Pose Entrapment Hazard

The recalled pants were sold in two styles. The first style (model numbers 62240 and 62254) is denim with a brown ribbon belt on the waistband. These pants have a sewn-on patch and an embroidered butterfly. They were sold in infant sizes 12 months, 18 months and 24 months and toddler sizes 2T, 3T and 4T. The second style (model number 62226) is khaki with a fabric belt on the waistband. They have two cargo pockets, one with an embroidered heart. The cuffs have buttons and plaid trim on the underside. December 6, 2007 Personal Identity Children’s Sweaters with Drawstrings Recalled by Sears Due to Strangulation Hazard

The recalled sweaters have a V-neck, hood and kangaroo pocket. The sweaters are either pink with charcoal stripes or blue with white stripes. They were sold in the following girls’ sizes: small, medium, large, and extra large. Read more.


December 6, 2007 RC2 Recalls Potty Training Seats Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The recall involves the First Years 3-in-1 Flush and Sounds potty training seats. Each seat has either a yellow chair with a green removable seat and a purple lift out-pot or a blue chair with a white removable seat and green lift out-pot. The words "100 Acre Wood" are molded on the chair back. The plaque inserted into the back of the seat contains molded Winnie the Pooh and Tigger characters. Read more.


December 6, 2007 RC2 Recalls The First Years Children's Feeding Seats Due to Fall Hazard

The First Years Newborn-to-Toddler Reclining Feeding Seat can be adjusted between reclining and upright positions. The seat includes a tray, reversible cushion and a three-point safety belt. One side of the seat cushion has a sewn-in label at the top which says "the first years by Learning Curve." This recall includes all feeding seats except those with an "R" stamped inside a raised circle located on the far left and right of the back of the seatback or those with waist strap slots that are nine inches apart. The boys’ small and medium sized hooded zip-up sweatshirts have various designs on the front, and were sold in charcoal, navy blue and brown colors. “Whatever” and “RN#39209” are printed on the tag sewn into the jacket. Read more.


December 3, 2007 Old Navy Recalls Boys' Jackets; Drawstring at Waist Poses Entrapment Hazard

The performance fleece-lined shell jackets are hooded, zip in the front, and have a drawstring at the waist. The jackets were sold in black or blue in multiple children’s sizes. “Old Navy” is printed on a label at the neck. Style number 507907 is printed on a white label sewn into the side seam of the jacket. Read more.


November 29, 2007 American Greetings Corp. Recalls Confetti Bursts Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard

The recalled products contain confetti in plastic bags. When the bags are inflated, consumers squeeze the bag and confetti bursts out. Each package contains six confetti bursts. Read more.


November 27, 2007 Children's Full Zip Hooded Sweatshirts with Drawstrings Recalled for Strangulation Hazard By Bon-Ton

The recalled hooded zip-up sweatshirts are for Boys 8-20 and were made under the “Burnside” brand. The sweatshirts came in boys’ sizes small, medium, large and X-large and have various designs on the front. The recalled models have “RN # 39209” printed on the tag. Read more.


November 21, 2007 Flashing Pacifiers Recalled By Sailing (U.S.) International Corp. Due to Choking Hazard

The recalled pacifier necklace has a 28-inch multicolored cord with a 3- inch plastic pacifier that comes in assorted colors. A hole at the tip of the nipple is used as a blow hole for the whistle. The pacifier handle operates as the on-off button for the flashing light on both pacifiers. “Flashing Pacifier” or “2-in-1 Flashing Pacifier with Whistle Necklace” is printed on the packaging of the pacifiers. The recalled jewelry was sold under the Rachel Rose and Distinctly Basics brands and includes key rings and pins with religious themes (crosses and fish symbols), key rings with "Mom" and cheerleader charms; bracelets with charms like handbags, flip flops, hearts, dresses, and flowers; silver-colored rings with designs or stones in a variety of colors; clutchless hoop earrings with decorations such as butterflies; and filigree and long drop earrings with stones in a variety of colors.
