December 11, 2018 Penn State Industries Recalls Woodworking Jaw Chuck Systems Due to Laceration Hazard

This recall involves Penn State Industries CSCBARR5 quick change jaw chuck systems used with woodworking lathes. The recalled jaw chuck systems are made of steel, are silver in color and measure about 3.875 inches in diameter. November 20, 2018 Seabreeze International Recalls Bathroom Heaters Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves model SF14TA Smart Thermaflo Bathroom Heater Fans with nightlight manufactured in 2015 and 2016. The fan is a white rectangle about 13 inches wide and 10 inches high with a plastic grill on the front. "Seabreeze International Corporation," SF14TA and date code are on a label on the bottom or side of the fan. Affected units have a date code ending in 5 or 6. Read more.


November 8, 2018 A. O. Smith Recalls 30-Gallon Gas Water Heaters Due to Fire Hazard; Sold Exclusively at Lowe's

This recall includes A. O. Smith 30-gallon natural gas water heaters with model number G6-UT3030NV and serial numbers with the first four digits of 1805 through 1809. A. O. Smith, the model number and the serial number are printed on the data plate located next to the gas water heater's control valve/thermostat. A. O. Smith is printed near the top of the water heater. November 8, 2018 A. O. Smith Recalls Ultra-Low NOx Water Heaters Due to Fire Hazard

This recall includes 30, 40 and 50 gallon natural or propane gas-fired Ultra-Low NOx emission gas water heaters. They are designed to comply with regulations in certain air quality districts in California, and were sold primarily in California. They were sold under the American, A. O. Smith, Kenmore, Reliance, State, U.S. Craftsmaster and Whirlpool brand names and manufactured from April 8, 2011 through August 1, 2016. Only water heaters with the first four digit serial numbers between 1115 and 1631, where the first four digits represent the year and week of production, are included in the recall. The brand name, model number and serial number can be found on the data plate on the product located next to the gas control valve/thermostat. November 1, 2018 Black & Decker Recalls Hammer Drills Due to Injury Hazard

This recall involves side handles supplied with Porter-Cable brand model PC70THD ½ Inch VSR 2-Speed Hammer Drills, Black & Decker brand model DR560 ½ Inch Drill/Drivers, and Bostitch brand models BTE140 and BTE141 ½ Inch Hammer Drills. The side handles are black plastic and attach to the drill to help provide stability. The Porter-Cable hammer drills are gray with red accents, the Black & Decker drill/drivers are orange with black accents, and the Bostich hammer drills are yellow with black accents. October 18, 2018 Hydrolevel Recalls Controllers for Slant/Fin Boilers Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves the Hydrolevel HydroStat Model 3000 boiler controller which is a black rectangular control unit for residential Slant/Fin VSPH boilers. The unit has six small LED lights and the word 'Hydrostat' on the front. The controller says HydroStat on the front and HydroStat Model 3000 on the back. Read more.


October 10, 2018 Briggs & Stratton Recalls Portable Generator Fuel Tank Replacement Caps, Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves model B4363GS fuel tank replacement caps made by Kelch/Bemis for Briggs & Stratton portable generators that use a plastic non-vented fuel tank. The fuel tank replacement caps are black and are missing the vent within the clear lens covering the fuel gauge. The fuel caps can be identified by visually inspecting the clear lens for a vent hole towards the bottom of the gauge. The caps are about 2.5 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches in width. Two 5.5 inch metal rods extend from the bottom of the caps to support a float that moves the needle in the fuel gauge. The fuel tank replacement caps have KELCH stamped into the bottom of the cap. This recall involves RIDGID NXT wet/dry vacuums, models HD06000 (6-gallon) and HD09000 (9-gallon). The orange and black wet/dry vacuum has four swivel casters, a carrying handle, a hose and accessories. RIDGID is printed on the front of the vacuum.
