December 14, 2006 Macy’s Recalls Infant Coveralls Due to Choking Hazard

The recalled knit coveralls are off-white with long sleeves. There are pastel stripes on the sleeves and legs, and a floral motif on the right-hand side of the chest. It was sold with a matching striped cap. The coveralls were sold in sizes 0-12 months. Style number 1053EGR410 is printed on the hang tag. Read more.


December 13, 2006 BRIO Corp. Recalls Bell Rattles for Choking Hazard

This recall involves wooden rattles with six-multi-colored slats used to connect the two, red round ends. A metal bell is contained within the slats. The rattles measure 2 1/2-inches in diameter by 2 1/2-inches in height. The name BRIO appears on one of the wooden sides. Read more.


December 13, 2006 Children's "Powerpuff Girls" Necklaces Recalled Due to Lead Poisoning Hazard

The recalled necklaces are multi-colored metal pendants that hang from a black cord. The pendants are in the shape of the head of one of three "Powerpuff Girls" cartoon characters. The packaging consists of purple cardboard with the three Powerpuff Girls cartoon characters and the words "CARTOON NETWORK" and "THE POWERPUFF GIRLS" printed on both sides. Read more.

December 13, 2006 "See Kai Run" Brand Children's Boots Recalled, Snaps Pose Choking Hazard

This recall involves the "Ellis" children's boot sold in pre-walk and toddler sizes 3 through 9. The boots are black with white stitching and were sold with either leather or faux fur lining. "See Kai Run" is written on the sole and insole of the boots. . "Ellis – FF" or "Ellis – L" is written on the side of the shoe box under the Style heading. The recalled Mood Necklaces are multi-colored pendants shaped as hearts, moons, shamrocks, spiders, butterflies and lizards that hang from a black chord. The packaging is a black cardboard wrapped in plastic with "Mood Necklace" printed on the front and "Item # JW41001" and "UPC number 898846410011" printed on a sticker on the back. The recalled Diva Necklaces consist of pendants shaped as the words "ANGEL" or "Diva" that hang from a black chord. November 30, 2006 Dollar Days International Recalls Children's Parka Jackets with Drawstrings for Strangulation Hazard

The jackets come in seven color combinations: black with a grey stripe along the sleeves, light blue with a black stripe along the sleeves, grey with a black stripe along the sleeves, navy blue with a gray stripe along the sleeves, yellow with a grey stripe along the sleeves and navy blue with a white stripe across the chest, and black with a white stripe across the chest. The jacket's zipper goes all the way up to create a mock turtleneck. The removable hood attaches with a zipper and has a drawstring. There is elastic at the sleeves, side pockets, and a drawstring at the waist. Read more.


November 21, 2006 Serious Injuries Prompt Recall of Mattel's Polly Pocket Magnetic Play Sets

The recalled Polly Pocket play sets contain plastic dolls and accessories that have small magnets. The magnets measure 1/8 inch in diameter and are imbedded in the hands and feet of some dolls, and in the plastic clothing, hair pieces and other accessories to help the pieces attach to the doll or to the doll's house. The model number is printed on the bottom of the largest pieces on some of the play sets. Contact Mattel if you cannot find a model number on your product to determine if it is part of the recall. Polly Pocket magnetic play sets currently on store shelves are not included in this recall. Read more.

November 15, 2006 Target Recalls "Play Wonder" Puzzle Tables for Choking and Laceration Hazards

This recall involves a "Play Wonder" brand puzzle table that contains three nine-piece wooden puzzles inside the table. They are light blue with paw prints painted across the top of the table. The table is about 13-inches high when assembled and has green sides. The "Play Wonder" logo is located in the front lower right corner of the packaging.
