October 18, 2007 Kong Maxx Ladder Stands Sold at Gander Mountain Recalled Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves Gorilla Kong Maxx Ladder Stands with model number 43032 and batch numbers G051507, G051507D, G061507D, G071507D, and G081507D. Model numbers are printed on the box only. Batch numbers are stamped on the vertical rail of the first ladder section. The stand is 19-feet to the shooting rail, or 16-foot 8-inches to the platform. The foot platform measures 17 ½ -inches wide. This is the only Gorilla, Inc. ladder stand with these dimensions. Read more.

The recall involves Gerber EAB Pocket Knives, model numbers 22-41548, 22-41548CDIP, 22-01548W and 22-41548W. The knives are small, folding utility knives that can be clipped to the owner’s pocket. The knives are marked with the “Gerber” trademark. Read more.



July 17, 2007 Ol' Man Treestands Recalled by TSR Inc.; Locking Pins Can Unexpectedly Fall Out, Posing a Fall Hazard

The recall involves locking pins, which secure the cables that connect the treestand to a tree. The pins were sold with the 2006 Ol' Man Treestands, including the MV-MO (Multi-Vision), GMV-MO (Grand Multi-Vision), OMDX-MO (Original XX), GOMDX-MO (Grand XX), AMVP-MO (Multi Vision Pro), AGMVP-MO (Grand Multi-Vision Pro), AOMP-MO (Ol' Man Pro), and AGOMP-MO (Grand Ol' Man Pro). The recalled treestands are stamped on the underside of the teeth plates with "TSR 06" and one of the following date codes: 6018, 6019, 6020, 6021, 6022, 6027, 6028, 6029, 6030, 6032, 6033, 6034, 6035, 6036, 6037, or 6041. The recall also includes the 2006 Ol' Man Replacement Pin Sets, model PL. No other models or parts are included in this recall. Read more.


July 3, 2007 Hammock Stands Recalled by The Algoma Net Co. Due to Fall Hazard

The recall includes Algoma hammock stands model numbers 6250, 6250BH, and 6290W88B. They were sold with a cotton rope hammock with wood spreader bars and attached chains. The frame is made of steel and has five separate tubular pieces, including two foot brackets. The model number is located at the top of the instruction sheet that was provided with the hammock stand. May 31, 2007 Kayak Paddle Floats Recalled by NRS Due to Drowning Hazard

The NRS Sea Kayak Paddle Float is an inflatable device that is attached to one side of the paddle to help the kayaker re-enter the kayak in open water. The paddle float is yellow and black and measures 15" wide by 28" long, before inflation. The NRS logo is on one side. This recall involves those paddle floats with inflation tubes that are clear or translucent. Paddle floats with black tubes are not included. Read more.


April 18, 2007 Hunter's View Expands Recall of Safety Harnesses Sold with Tree Stands, Also Recalls Harnesses Provided as Replacements

The recall involves all 2004 and 2005 model year Fall Arrest Systems (FAS), or harnesses with "Model Year 2004" or "Model Year 2005" printed on a white Hunter's View label attached to the harness or the tree strap. The recall includes all model number harnesses sold during these years. The recall also includes replacement harnesses provided to consumers as a result of the previous recall. Read more.

The recall involves the Contact Hot and Cold Water Coolers with serial numbers beginning with the letter "J" and followed by nine digits. December 12, 2006 Liberty Mountain Recalls Climbing Harnesses Due to Fall Hazard

The sit harnesses are worn around climber's waist and legs and attach to climbing ropes to protect climbers from falling. The harnesses have three buckles including one on the waist belt and one on each leg loop. "Edelweiss" is printed on the waist belt. Only harnesses using the para buckle system are included in this recall. Para buckle harnesses have a single bar installed in the center of each of the three buckles. Read more.
