Recalls: Outdoors and Camping

This recall involves all Cassin Blade Runner and Blade Runner Alpine crampons. Crampons are used for ice climbing and attach to footwear allowing the front points of the crampon to cut into the snow or ice. The Blade Runner crampons have two ice front points and the Blade Runner Alpine crampons have two snow front points. "Sandvik Nanoflex" is printed on a rubber label attached to the gray nylon ankle strap. "Cassin" and "Blade Runner" are stamped on the orange traction plate on the foot of the crampon. The Cohort is an open frame folding clip knife with either a black or dark gray anodized aluminum handle. The tail end of the handle includes a lanyard hole. When the knife blade is fully extended, it is held in the open positon with a liner lock function. When fully extended, the overall length of the knife is about 7 inches. When closed, the knife measures about 4 inches. The knife blade is 3 inches long, weighs less than 3 ounces and has the Gerber "sword and shield" trademark in silver on the non-clip side of the blade. The Gerber name appears on the knife clip. The following models are being recalled. Model numbers can be found underneath the UPC barcode on the lower right corner on the rear of the hanging blister packaging. For box packaging, the model number is found on the bottom of the box. This recall involves nine models of two brands of crossbows that can be identified by their serial numbers, which are located on the left side of the barrel of the crossbow below the trigger box. The TenPoint or Wicked Ridge brand name is printed on both sides of the crossbow barrel on all models except the GT Flex. The model name appears on both sides of the stock on all models. The GT Flex crossbows are black. The other affected models are camouflage patterns. One TenPoint Titan Extreme model crossbow and one Wicked Ridge Warrior HL model crossbow were specially produced in black, rather than the camouflage pattern that is standard for those models. The Lithium Lazer™ ice auger is used by ice fishermen to cut circular holes in ice to access the water and fish below. The Lithium Lazer™ ice auger is a 24-pound black and red unit powered by an electric motor and a rechargeable 50-volt lithium ion battery. The auger has two handles, a power switch, a trigger switch and a drill, and is identified with the logo for StrikeMaster Ice Augers on the front of the powerhead. This recall involves two 2014 models of hang-on tree stands used by hunters. They include the Ameristep Hyde Cliff Hanger with model number 2RX1H008C and date code JH-2014-3-6 and the Ameristep Hyde Sky Walker with model number 2RX1H009C and date code JH-2014-3-6. The date code is stamped on the back of the tree stand's aluminum seat frame. The model number is printed on the packaging and in the instruction manual. "Hyde" is printed in red on the vertical aluminum bar between the seat and the foot platform. Read more.

This recall involves GCI Outdoor BleacherBack stadium seats. The seats are made of a powder-coated steel frame, a stitched fabric backrest and a fabric-covered padded bottom. The backrest has a mesh pocket on the back side. The seat bottom has a strap that runs from one side through two D rings on the upper part of the backrest and back down to the other side. The strap has a yellow buckle. The backrest and seat bottoms were sold in the colors black, green, maroon, navy blue, red and royal blue. When open, the seats measure 16 inches wide x 12 inches deep x 17.5 inches high. The backrest folds forward to a height of 4 inches. This recall involves Misty Mate 2.5-ounce high pressure personal misters. The air misters are approximately 8 inches tall and are designed to spray a mist of water for personal cooling. They have a clear plastic cylinder to hold water, blue base and top and a nylon carrying strap attached to the top. The cylinder measures between 1.25 and 1.5 inches in diameter. A horizontal line with the word "fill" is printed on the cylinder. Read more.

This recall involves the ZLP Hornet zip line trolley. The trolley has yellow, triangular side plates with ZLP Hornet cut into one of the plates. There are rollers at two corners of the side plates and a handle through the center with black handle grips. The yellow side plates are held together by a T-shaped retaining pin. The pin can be released by pushing a blue push-button on the end of the pin. Read more.

The recall involves Mammut's RescYou crevasse rescue devices with batch numbers 12-12 and 03-13. The crevasse rescue devices are pulley systems used for ski mountaineering and mountain climbing to lift a skier or climber who has fallen into a crevasse. The rescue device consists of blue- and silver-finished mechanical ascenders, each using a cam that grabs a lifting rope, allowing the rope to slide only in one direction. The ascenders are connected by an orange rope threaded through pulleys. "MAMMUT RESCYOU" and the batch number are printed in white on the side of the blue ascender. Read more.

This recall involves four models of Sterling Rope's sewn cords which include the 8mm Aztek (AZ) Sewn Bound Loop Prusik, Aztek (AZ) Elite 8mm Edge Restraint, 8mm PER Sewn Eye and the 8mm Accessory Cord Sewn Eye. Sterling Rope products have the production lot number in two places. The product number and lot number are printed on the barcode label attached to the Care, Use and Retirement document, which comes with every product. The lot number is also printed on the shrink tube label on the sewn portion of the Prusik, edge restraint or sewn eye.
