December 12, 2006 Emerson Electric Co. Recalls Ceiling Fans for Injury Hazard from Falling Blades

The recall involves the "Emerson Designer 60-inch Ceiling Fan." The recalled fans have a 60-inch diameter and come in seven types of finishes including weathered bronze, pewter, antique brass, white, antique white, oil rubbed bronze and brushed steel. November 30, 2006 Trane Recalls Air Conditioners after Incidents of Units Smoking

The recall includes 208, 230 and 265 volt models of the Trane PTEE and PTHE Series Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners (PTACs). They were manufactured from about March 2006 through July 2006. The date code is F06C through F06G, and is written on the unit’s Manufacturer’s Data Plate located behind the molded plastic cover above the power connection. Read more.


October 31, 2006 Weil-McLain Recalls Ultra Series Boilers for Carbon Monoxide Hazard

The recall involves Weil-McLain Ultra 80, Ultra 105, Ultra 155, Ultra 230 and Ultra 310 condensing, high-efficient, gas-fired boilers for space heating. The user's manual and installation manual have "Ultra Gas-Fired Water Boiler" on the cover. The boilers are wrapped in a glossy silver/flat black jacket and either stand on the floor or are wall-mounted. The serial numbers range from CP5071716 through CP5327000. When the panel on the front of the boiler is removed, a bar-coded label with the serial number is located on the lower right hand side of the boiler itself. "Weil-McLain" is written on the front panel of the boilers. Read more.


August 29, 2006 Agio International's Outdoor Steel Dome Fireplaces Sold at Lowe's Stores Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

The recalled fireplace consists of a round fire bowl that rests on four legs, with a chimney cap and hood. The fireplace is made of steel and is painted black. They are about 3-feet tall and 2-feet wide. The item number, 91023, is printed on the package materials. Read more.



July 5, 2006 Heat & Glo Indoor/Outdoor Gas Fireplaces Recalled for Fire Hazard

The recall involves the Heat & Glo Twilight II and IIB indoor/outdoor see-through gas fireplaces. The model name, Twilight II or IIB, can be found by looking at the bottom right side of the inside of the control compartment of the inside portion of the fireplace. Read more.


June 28, 2006 CFM Corp. Recalls Sequoia Wood Burning Fireplaces for Fire Hazard

Only models EWF30, EWF36, and EWF36A are affected by this recall. The recalled fireplaces are 400 or 700 pound steel plate wood-burning fireplaces with the trade name "Sequoia." The fireplaces measure 30-inches-wide or 36-inches-wide, have doors which seal them and are designed for installation in openings in the walls of homes that connect to chimneys. DESA 40-80,000 BTU Portable Propane Convection Heaters generate from 40,000 to 80,000 BTUs an hour. The following model names and number are involved in this recall: Reddy Heater (RCP80VC), All-Pro (SPC-80CC), MASTER (TC80VC), Universal (80-CC), and Dayton (6BY73). These heaters have serial numbers between 017390000 and 017632220. The model and serial numbers are on the carton and on labels attached to the heater.
