Recalls: Outdoors and Camping

This recall involves "The Siege" hunting crossbows with model numbers 315, 330, 355 and 375. "The Siege" and the model numbers are printed in large lettering directly above the trigger mechanism. "Bohning/Middleton Crossbow," "Patent pending" and serial number are engraved on opposite sides of the rear barrel of each crossbow. The serial number, 12-XXX, is unique for each crossbow. The crossbows measure 36 to 39 inches in length, are camouflage/black in color and have a scope mounted on the top. The crossbows were sold with a scope, arrow quiver, quiver brackets, cocking aid and a string changer.

The recalled Muddy Outdoors climbing sticks are used to climb trees. They consist of a 20-inch black center stick with tree cleats and fold-out steps on each end. A black and burnt orange-colored rope fastened by a cam cleat secures the stick to the tree. The tree cleats have single metal tabs or posts. Model number 70401 or 70404 is printed on the packaging. This recall involves Basin model Columbus™ folding camping chairs, identified with style # CC3009-N on a label attached to the side of the seat. They are blue, foam-padded, polyester chairs with a cushioned seat and back. The chairs have adjustable side straps and two additional straps used as handles to carry the chair when folded. "Columbus" appears on the outer side of the back of the seat, above a mesh pocket. Read more.

The recalled Shorea wood hammock stands are natural colored with an arc-shaped holder standing perpendicular to two base pieces. The stand is 14.5 feet long, 5 feet wide and 4.25 feet high. The stand is compatible with spreader bar hammocks, which are sold separately. The item/model number VFA042-1 is printed on the packaging. Read more.

This recall involves two models of Porter Athletic climbing ropes.Model number 00118 is a white soft dacron rope with vinyl boot end sold in 12’, 16’, 20’ and 24’ lengths. Model number 00119 is a white soft dacron rope with vinyl boot end and rubber knots every 12” sold in 12’, 16’, 20’ and 24’ lengths. Read more.

This recall involves hammock stands made from steel pipe and sold in green and black under the Twin Oaks brand. The hammock stands are used with all Twin Oaks double and family-sized rope hammocks, as well as all Twin Oaks fabric hammocks. Model number 14015 (green) or 14016 (black) is printed on the instruction materials included with the stand. Read more.

The Joss Cam is a mechanical device placed in the crack of a rock to support a climber's weight. The Cam is operated by a trigger that retracts the aluminum lobes, allowing the device to be placed and secured in the crack of a rock. A cable is attached to the device with a heavy duty nylon sling attached to the end of the cable. Joss Cams come in eight sizes and each Cam is marked with the size (.5 to 4). The sling on the end features solid horizontal blocks of color (yellow, orange, purple, red, green and blue) indicating size. The "Cassin" logo is also printed on a tag attached to the sling. This recall involves a cube-shaped children’s folding tent with model number 90192009. The brand name BUSA and IKEA and the model number are printed on a sewn-in label attached to an interior seam in the tent. The tent frame is made of flat steel wire and the tent material is pale green polyester fabric with turquoise, pink and white trim. The tent’s dimensions are: L 28 1/4, W 28 1/4, H 28 1/4. The GRIGRI 2 belay device is used by rock climbers to control the climber's safety rope during a fall or while being lowered on the rope. The first five digits of the serial numbers of devices affected by this recall range from 10326 to 11136. The serial number is engraved on the body of the product underneath and protected by the folded handle. The belay devices are 4 inches in length and 2 inches in width, and come in grey, blue, and orange colors. Read more.

Itasca men's shoes sizes 7 to 14 with the model name Fusion Hikers are being recalled. The model name Fusion, style number 45513 and order numbers 22215, 22216 or 22217 are printed on a label on the underside of the tongue. The word Itasca and the Itasca logo are embossed on the top of the tongue of the shoe and are also imprinted on the removable insole. The shoe is black with leather and nylon upper and a thermoplastic rubber (TPR) outsole. "Steel Toe" is printed on a tag on the outside of the shoe. Read more.
