November 23, 2010 L.L.Bean Recalls Folding Camp Rockers Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves L.L.Bean folding camp rockers with a fabric cover and a steel frame. The rockers have a fabric/mesh seat and back and a cup holder on the right armrest. "L.L.Bean" is printed on the seat back. Rockers with the number RNR113 and RNR114 listed on the white tag under the seat are included in the recall. Folding camp rockers with fabric anchors are not included in this recall. Read more.


November 22, 2010 Camping Stoves and Equipment Recalled by Katadyn North America Due to Fire Hazard

This recall involves Optimus Nova and Nova+ camping stoves and equipment, including the stove's fuel pump and spare parts/repair kits. The stoves are black metal, measure about 6 inches in diameter and 3 ½ inches high and can be used with multiple types of fuel. Stove serial numbers QA000011 through QA007313 are included in this recall. The serial number and "Optimus" are printed on the side of the camping stove. Pumps and spare parts kits also were sold separately. Pumps have a green open/close valve. Spare parts kits model numbers include 80163051, 8520, 80176321 and 8511 and are printed on the packaging. October 27, 2010 Hunter Safety System Recalls Carabiners Due to Fall Hazard

The 2010 Year HSS Ultra-Lite carabiners were supplied with the HSS-300 Ultra-Lite full body climbing safety harness. The carabiners are black with a pin sticking out of the gate. They have "CB20101" stamped on the side opposite the gate. Read more.


October 27, 2010 Primal Vantage Expands Recall of Plastic Tree Steps Due to Fall Hazard

Product is a plastic tree step that attaches to a tree via a nylon strap and a large metal buckle. It is used to climb a tree in order to hunt from an elevated position. Model numbers 105 and 155 both have a “08”, which is stamped on the plastic portion of the step denoting the year of manufacture. Read more.


September 8, 2010 Simms Fishing Products Recalls Wading Staffs Due to Fall Hazard

The recalled product is a wading staff used to assist in wading rivers and streams. These staffs, offered in two sizes (52" & 56"), are sterling silver in color and are identified by Simms item numbers AWS101152 or AWS101156 (UPC numbers 94264-10102 or 94264-10103). The item number and UPC numbers can be found on the product hang tag attached to the staff at time of purchase. Affected wading staffs are visibly identifiable by a silver cable connector. August 24, 2010 Baby Hammock Metal Stands Recalled by MamaLittleHelper Due to Fall Hazard

The baby hammock hangs from the recalled metal C-shaped stand which is about five feet tall and is silver-colored. The metal C-shaped stands were sent to the six consumers with hammock model numbers 1010 and 1020 instead of the original metal frame advertised with the hammock. Read more.


August 24, 2010 Baby Hammocks Recalled by MamaLittleHelper Due to Suffocation Hazard

This recall includes MamaLittleHelper Hammocks with model numbers 1010, 1020 and BL222. They have a steel frame and a fabric hammock with a mattress which are connected by a large spring, safety rope and a metal hanger. Model BL222 has a computerized rocker device. "MamaLittleHelper" is printed on a label sewn onto the hammock models 1010 and 1020. Model BL222 does not have a label. Read more.


July 14, 2010 Muddy Outdoors Recalls Climbing Sticks Due to Fall Hazard

The recalled climbing sticks are used for climbing a tree and include 2009 year Model 70301 - Muddy Outdoors climbing stick (a 20 inch single climbing stick) and 2009 year Model 70304 - Muddy Outdoors climbing stick (4 pack of 20-inch climbing sticks). The year and model number is printed on a label on the front of the main vertical frame of the climbing stick just below the two cam locs. Read more.


January 28, 2010 Summit Treestands Recalls Hunting Tree Stand Brackets Due to Fall Hazard

This recall involves Talon Raptor brackets/straps and Cabelas Realtree series hang-on tree stands with the Talon brackets/straps. A safety label sewn onto the bracket reads “Treestand Strap Assembly.” Tree stands involved in this recall have the following model numbers: rsEagle 82044, rsOsprey 82041, rsFalcon 82042, rsHawk 82043 and Cabelas Realtree Outfitters Series Hawk Deluxe 81509.
